I have just purchased a used 05 speed and when I checked the software version (top LED not illuminated) I got 4 LEDs (2 green 2 yellow). Does that mean I have version 4 of the software? Can this be flashed to version 7? Also, how do you access the various parts of the program (using the trigger to change)? Is there someone out there that knows what each step/LED of the version does? I found a thread that says that version 4 has PSP/CFOA rules installed for the 6th tr..but this means little to me...do I pull the trigger until I get the 6th LED to illuminate? If so...what does this mean (ramping..capped at some value or what)? Any help from you knowledgeable gurus would be appreciated.

Read the manuel.

Duh...I have read the MANUAL half a dozen times and it tells me nothing. It says: This allows you to check the Software version programmed into the Angel Speed.
• The menus can only be accessed when the ANGEL is ON.
• Remove left hand grip cover screws 1 to expose the circuit board.
• Switch the Angel ON.
• Ensure that you are not depressing the trigger.
• Press the internal menu button 2 to scroll the menu until the TOP LED 4 is
NOT Illuminated.
• Depress the trigger for each level of adjustment required the LED’s on the rear of the grip frame will indicate what level you have selected
• The LED displayed indicates the software version.

That's it. So from that I can determine what version I have (4 LEDs as stated in my original post means version 4?). It says nothing about what other modes or what hitting the trigger gives me..which is why I asked. The Trigger Offset function only talks about bounce and the Demo mode...not what the Demo mode does or if there are other features such as a PSP mode (another post here says that version 4 has a PSP mode...but who knows if that is correct). There is nothing that discusses specifics of any modes or how to access them...thus the reason for my post hoping one of you smart people will come up with something better than "read the manuel."

People like to say that when they have nothing better or intellegent to say. You best bet is to ask Frazer by emailing him or posting it into the 'Ask Frazer" forum. As far as changing modes, select which mode you would like to change by pressing the internal button located on the board. Once you have reached the desired menu, select the level you want by pulling the trigger; each level is represented by an led and so on.

Thanks for the reply. I can change modes and I know what most of my settings are: dwell: 9ms TO: all lit (max bounce?), Software version: 4 LEDs (version 4), Hopper Type: Fast Force Fed; didn't note the MROF because the manual doesn't state what that is other than with and without eyes on. I have seen a thread that tells me so I will figure that out next time I have the grip off. One thread here talked about all the different software versions and stated "Version 4 - Has PSP/CFOA rules installed for the 6th tr". The manual doesn't say anything about TR (same as TO?), and nothing about what the other 5 TRs do or how to access them. For the Tadao board I've seen a table that shows what each setting does...just wondered if there was such a listing for each software version.

This is a breakdown of the leds I came up with. MROF was added after the manuals were printed, thats why you couldn't find it in there. Hope this helps.

Thanks WarpedX! If that info applies to my version 4 software then with all 6 LEDs lit when in TO means that I am in the PSP mode. Now....does anyone know what that means...LOL? I know the new PSP mode in version 7 is capped at 15.4 bps and ramps to that MROF after 3 trigger pulls. Does anyone know if there is a cap/limit in the old (ie version 4) PSP or if there is any type of ramping built in? Please pardon my ignorance but I am a woodsball player now migrating to speedball and all this bounce and ramping is new to me. I just want to know if my gun as it is now set with 6 LEDs is going to limit my MROF any (not that I can probably actually reach more than 15 bps on my own as it is!) or if I am going to be surprised if it starts firing faster than I am pulling the trigger.
