Could a bolt be produced that would fit a speed 05 that would extend past the breach?

:lightbulb
I was thinking if a bolt with an outer cylinder the length of the stock breech would be hollowed out and inside of it another hollowed out cylinder placed with a spring behind it that would extend that center cylinder would be past the breech to prevent a ball from rolling backwards. Once this bolt is inserted the breech couldn't be opened unless the barrel was removed and some sort of stick was used to push back the center spring loaded cylinder, then the breech could be opened.

This was you wouldn't have to ship your marker out to Alaska to get milling work done to fit another bolt to prevent roll back.
Is this a workable idea?
Has it been discussed already?
Or is this not possible?

You might want to look into Jam Bolts...
Pretty much exactly what you just described.

I though they just allow for the metal rod on the bolt to remain in place if they bolt is "Jamed". They wouldnt stick out of the breech at rest which is what I want to do, the center cylinder move out and make a longer bolt to eliminate roll back.

Look again...
They are specifially designed now to fight rollback.
Their instructions suggest using a squeegie to push it back to open the breech.

By the way... I wasn't trying to be a smart ass or anything...
I was just saying... It's hard to judge tone of a comment that is just typed and I didn't want you to think I was being a jerk. Cool?

You could design one but not one that did not require modification of the breech area.

90% of the chopping problems most users are encountering is related to the hopper setting on their marker and not their ram adjustment. Look around the other forums here. You don't see the older angels chopping like the speed and you also can't assume that all of the older angels are using revolutions. Too many speed owners are thinking they will get maximum ROF with their hopper setting at 4. At 4 you leave nothing to chance, any fluctuation in feed time will cause a chop. I have my hopper setting at 2 and have never had a chopping problem.

I agree with El Pirata. I think the roll-back "issue" is less of a problem than people make it out to be.

I personally would like to see a softface bolt, just like the stock one, but with the softface part sticking out a little farther than the face of the delrin bolt.

I'm not sure if it would cause any problems, but it seems that just a couple millimeters could help with the rollback a bit.

And you'd still be able to open and close the breech, because the softface would push out of the way a bit, to allow the breech to open.

docsmachine.com the dynabolt- it needs a very tiny amount of maching with his special bolt- but after talking to doc it seems like a good idea if roll back really bothers you- and when I saw tiny amount of machining its very small-
