Mounting eyes

This is a question for the people that have aced a gun, or that know a considerable amount. Well, not really... Anyways, how exactly are the eyes mounted adn aligned? I've seen the expoxy version of it, but would like to know about a cleaner way to do it. Any and all help is appreciated.
