Can I just buy a Tadao board for a drop in upgrade for a Stock IR3?, Will it run off the Cops system or not? Do I need to get it ACED or Fly converted.
If I can, I plan to drop one in a 2k2 Dark IR3, in place of the Mem6 board.
Plus. I also have another IR3, that is already Fly converted, (See my avatar) and would like to know what type of Tadao board I would use in that.
For the IR3 that is already flied, you can just go ahead and get the A4 Fly board if you want the recharable battery or the SSC speed board if you'd rather use 9v instead.
As for the other fly, I'm sure you can still use the same board, but you won't be able to use cops. And you can't just use any ACE system either. You'll need to get that one flied as well. So if you don't have it flied you can currently just use it in Eye's off. That is as long as the plugs haven't changed any.
If I'm wrong on any of this, someone else help. :)

So the SSC board uses a 9volt? See I'm still a bit lost in all the the types of tadao boards. I'll probably just get the A4 fly board (running off my rechargeable battery) in it. I really don't want to get my other Dark IR3 flied. I really like the stock look of it.

I'm sure you are wrong about dropping in the SSC board. There are two obstacles to doing this, since I've been considering dropping an SSC board into my g7/fly:
1. The stock 05/06 speed board and Tadao SSC board have different mounting hole positions than any of the LCD/FBS boards. You would have possibly mill, but definitely tap another screw hole.
2. The microswitch on the SSC board would have to repositioned, but this could be done by an MT (I think).

yeah, I forgot about that stuff. I was rather hasty in my post I admit. Thanks for pointing it out for him.
