Hi everyone, well here's my problem.
When I first got my Speed 05 I had the problem of ball breaking in the barrel or being chopped. I blamed it on my inexperience so I read up on issues that could cause it and did what was recommended to eliminate this problem but I just can't get it fixed.
Stock broke paint so I adjusted the settings to have high dwell (all lights on) to be soft on paint even though it's very inefficient, slow hopper setting (2 lights on). It wasn't so bad 2-4 out of a hopper broke. It still broke paint so then I adjusted the ram forward so it snaps closed but it still broke about 2-4 per hopper. So I though stock barrels aren't the best so I went out and got the evil pipe kit. Went out and it still broke paint even worse then before but I blamed that on bad field paint. But it should still not be doing this most people were not having as much problems as I was with the paint. So I said what the hell I'll get a Newton kit with a gauge so I can tune it and have it be a little more gas efficient. Had it installed at Impact PB and tuned LPR set to around 55psi. So yesterday I went out and STILL broke a lot of paint. It was decent paint too, Diablo Nightmare all nice and round with no dimples.
I'm getting really upset putting an extra $250+ into a marker that should shoot decently out of the box. Instead this last time it was more a shotgun then a paintball gun. What else could I have missed? I know this is a good model marker but its really frustrating me now. :notsure:
BTW the paint seems to be mostly in the barrel but I can see very minor traces on the bolt on occation.
I'm going to Impact Paintball this afternoon to have some tech look at is but I'd like a opinion or two so I don't look like a complete moron if I forgot something simple.
