I can use all the programs except the sexy angel program. It wont look at com port 1, but I use com port 1 in all of the other programs. Any suggestions?

yea, i bought the link to do that. I don't really understand the brute angel program or the blue angel. The disc that came with the link won't do it or i didn't figure it out yet. Is there any other programs out there? Or am i missing something?

The Disc was not made to unlock the modes. If SexyAngel is not working, then try this:

First off let me say that you should be *damn* careful doing this, this isn't as simple a method as the NICKELS2 crack & you can do all sorts of un-fluffy things to your LCD.

As to the NICKELS2 crack, you should open Hyperterminal & connect directly to the COM port your Datalink is connected to with the settings:
Bits per second: 9600
Data bits:8
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Hardware: No flow control

Select caps & hit enter to 'wake-up' the LCD. Next type in SILVER10 with no return, you'll get a string of data (the current board settings) similar to this:

050A020E0F0A23B60014500000090909090909EDFEEFF6EFF6 EDFEEDFE

The important field is the 00 just before the 090909090909 sequence. Copy & paste the whole string to notepad & change that 00 to 05. Thus your amended string would look like this:

050A020E0F0A23B60014500005090909090909EDFEEFF6EFF6 EDFEEDFE.

Next in hyperterminal type COPPER11 & then copy the amended string from notepad & paste to host in hyperterminal. Bingo! You'll now have all the modes from A to Z. (NB. Using 01 instead of 05 would give you modes A-X only.)

Note that on some LCDs, mostly those owned by US friends, I've seen the 00, 01 & 05 mode codes as E0, E1 & E5. Either set will work as will others such as 20/21/25, 40/41/45, 60/61/65, etc.

Be VERY careful with other settings as most of them disable the Safe setting & the trigger is thus always live. This is not good.

I did the same thing with my angel, and it worked. Just don't change any other numbers.

Well it could be a litte different. You need to change this:

Try changing that "05" to a "01". I don't understand why you don't have all the modes, because you have that "05".

ok everything is unlocked, but y is not a mnultiplier and z is not full auto both are semi.

Your board should say "NOACC" when you get to modes Y and Z, correct? Here is the code for modes Y and Z:

I put nickles2 in and the rest of that stuff and it alone or all together it didn't work. Did i miss something?

1. Open hyperterminal (it comes with windows under communications).

2. Select new connection.

3. Give it a name (any will do)

4. Select the last icon (this is where people are going wrong, the one showing a flask and atom symbol)

5. Connect using Com1 (not modem)

6 Use these settings:
-Bits - 9600
-Data - 8
-Parity - NONE
-Stop bits - 1
-Hardware - None

7. Select caps

8. Hit enter

9. Type in NICKELS2

10. Hit enter

11. A message on the screen tells you if it has unlocked the Angel. Remember your marker must be ON and SAFE and connected to the data link. This unlock procedure appears only to apply to USA spec guns.

ok i just did that it gave me the message that it was enabled. but y and z still don't work they only fire as semi :(

Y and Z will sound like semi. After you reach a certain BPS, the gun will kick in by itself and fire 3. Kind of like a turbo mode.

No, the ramp modes start out at a slow BPS and "ramp" up to 13BPS. There are three types of Ramp modes:

Q: 10ms reduction between shots ramp.
R: 20ms reduction between shots ramp.
S: 40 ms reduction between shots ramp.

I knoticed that but it won't let me get past 9bps on z and 12 on y

I also tried the hyperterminal SILVER10 which awarded me a string of code but no 090909090909 string!?! Just 000000000. I am soooo confused!:doh: How can I copy to notebook? I go to edit and select all but where do I send it? I realize I must sound pretty stupid but any help would be much appreciated. Now, when I type the SILVER10 code I don't get a return.

The 090909090909 is indicating the serial number. Is your serial number "000000"?

FYI - Seems like sexy,brute,and blue don't run well under windows 2k and XP ... I have a win 98, 2k and xp machines, and they only work on 98 .. The datalink sftware seems to work under all ...

I am getting nothing on my LCD screen now, and i can't get the gun to respond...

I changed that 12 to see if making it 18 would up my BPS in Y/Z modes... gun screwed up, and now i can't fix it... is there a way to reset it without knowing the original settings?

FIXED IT!! =P


You have to boot the marker in "safe mode" hold the trigger while removing the key... connect via hyperterm, do the silver/copper commands, but put your ORIGINAL string that you got from the marker in..

hold the trigger the WHOLE TIME you are doing this.. it will accept the code, reboot gun and you should be back to stock.

By the way. Look at sexyangels readme file, if you want to know what does that kode string means. Also if you have a win98 you can use sexyangel quite easily..

Is all the Data Link is used for is to unlick the last 2 modes or something? Or can it do other thigns to your LCD? Cause they are expensive and seems like a waste of money to just unlock Y and Z modes?
