All right - I have an Angel 4 Fly that I bought very used.

Questions:

1 - I have a small leak from inside the breach. When I open the breach it is fairly audible, otherwise only barely. Very slow, but definitely there. I think it is coming from the ram, right where the bolt pin sticks down. I haven't opened it up yet to investigate, but I will when I have some quiet time. Any pointers for what I should be looking for? Likely culprits?

2 - I have tried a bunch of different trigger vernier wheel settings, and am not quite happy with any setup so far. I've got my debounce on 12, which is the "official" recommendation I got from this forum. Any thoughts on comfortable/good trigger settings, in terms of pre-travel/post-travel, or other TR settings? This is my first electro (other than my C3) and I don't have a lot of experience with trigger settings.

3 - My breach knob is missing. I bought one only to find out that it didn't fit. Apparently the one I bought for LCD/LEDs. Does anybody know what the model compatibility is? If I buy a knob for an IR3, will it fit my Fly?

4 - Same question for a snatch grip. I bought one, only to find that it didn't fit. Annoyance. Will an IR3 snatch fit my Fly?

5 - Anything else I need to know, about Angels or electros in general? I am definitely learning on the Fly here (sorry), and all pointers are appreciated.

:)

1. sounds like the cup seal isnt sealing the valve off and it is NOT the ram ... try shooting some shots to see if it will "take its seat" ... u may need a new one

2. i keep my tr on 1 when im truly playing because then i have no bounce at all but if i am just playin rec w/ friends ... i enjoy lighting them up so i bounce alot w/ tr 22 .. also trigger settings are all prefereance ... i got the magno mod from bob at FMA and i like it alot better tahn the stock feel ... u may want to look into it

3. i am almost certain that ir3 knobs fit a4 flys ... also i have 2 stock ones for sale if ur interested ... im thinkin 5 bucks shipped thru paypal ...

4. as for snatch grip ... i am not so sure on ... i am pretty sure it will fit but again im not positive ...

5. just go thru the manual and read up on angels ... when i get my first one i can on this site and read everything i could about it ... now i feel i am more knowledgeable in the field and i continue to learn new things ...

hope this helps ... and its nice to see more ppl are joining the wdp family

good luck and i hope u like ur new gun

This is my first electro (other than my C3) and I don't have a lot of experience with trigger settings. Pre-travel & post- travel settings are mechanical. The most we can tell you is which one is which. But that would be unnecessary as long as you have it with you it will take mere seconds to figure it out. Also, there is no "debounce" setting. You are thinking of the TR (trigger ramp) setting. Which I have no idea why the recommended setting is 12. It should be set on 1 unless you want it to run away on you & believe me, TR 12 will run away.

4 - Same question for a snatch grip. I bought one, only to find that it didn't fit. Annoyance. Will an IR3 snatch fit my Fly? No. It will not. A4 snatch grips are the only other it is compatable with.

i had the MT speed snatch on my a4 and my a4 fly and my friend had one on his force 4 fly ... they are compatible all right just they dont fit perefctly ... the lcd ones however are far too long
