besides air systems like angel air and maxflow

what kind of regulator do you think ia the best to replace the stock minireg with.

like vert. maxflow or air america voilator (it is spelled wrong i'm just lazy) and ans genx regs

stuff like that
:wowzer:

I personally wouldn't recommend the genx2. I would either recommend the Air america Vigilante reg, anything palmer, stab, and there's more, I just can't think of them. IF YOU REALLY WANT TO TRY SOMETHING OUT, THAT'S WHAT I'D RECOMMEND. I'd be interested in what people have to say, so fire away people.

I edited my statement because it came off as ignorant, and it is too problematic.

Centerflag makes a good reg, the gladiator is nice. Vigilante's are nice..... Palmers are good regs, but ugly as butt crack....

I would get a centerflag high pressure reg, they are nice. But actually I would keep the minireg and spend money on something else.... The mini reg is a great reg.

Excellent question, why are you swapping out the mini-reg? If you're having issues with your gun chances are it's the LPR, not the reg.

because some people can't believe that a company would put such a small reg that comprises of springs and o-rings on a marker capable of such high rates of fire :dunno:

because some people always feel that something stock has to be changed in order to make their marker "better" :dunno:

cuz some people have nothing better to do? :dunno:

can you tell I got my new smilie, and it's the best one ever :dunno:

I must have missed the memo...this must be "pick on Emmit" day. If this is so, please let me know so that I may get in some shots :-)

it's time for you to take your pills Emmit...... But anyways, the reason for me getting a new reg is 1.) I know there are better regs out there 2.) I'm almost getting it for free. So why not?

I am with Emmit on this one. WDP didn't make the Mini-Reg for nothing. It is probably the best reg now for the Angel.

Just because a product is WDP, doesn't mean it's the best..... I guarantee that there are better regs.... While I'm not too sure how this palmer reg is going to be, I mine as well try it out. No loss, I have nothing to lose. If you're getting an almost FREE reg that most likely will increase your consistency, why wouldn't you do it?? Makes sense to me. I'm not just getting it like emmit said because I'm bored or the reg is "too small", I have just heard good things about the reg, so I am trying it out. I will always have my mini-reg as a backup, so there's nothing to lose. If the reg sucks, then I'll sell it. If it's good, I'll keep it. Plain and simple.

you want to know the real reason I'm trying out a different reg? Shootdown. I read an article on automags.org about an angel mini-reg on a dyno test. I'm not sure how trustworthy this information is, but they said it took 10 seconds for the mini-reg to fully recharge. True, it could have been an old, dirty reg, but it made me think twice about my shootdown problem. My gun is perfectly tuned ( or so I hope) by one of our sponsors. When I go to try and pump out a string of 15 balls at around 15bps, a few will just plop out of the barrel. I have narrowed my problem down to a couple of things. My halo, my regulator, my ASA, and maybe my tank, even though I'm almost positive that's not the cause. The halo doesn't sound like the problem, but it could be. I had no shootdown problems with my revvy......:puzzled: But you can't shoot 14-15 bps with a revvy...... Riddle me this: You know that sound when you gas your gun up? The sound of the air going through your gun?? Well, it seems like I'm having that problem after every pull of the trigger.... You can hear it right by the 14 way and regulator after every time I shoot..... When I put my gauge on my gun, it seems to be recharging fast enough. The pressure will drop down when I rapid fire, But I'm not sure if it's enough to cause shootdown. I'm one confused man. Help me out here.

ok i just read all that "stuff" you guys just wrote and the reason why i am thinking of switching out my minireg is because of inconsistances. it woul go from 250 260 255 320 260 300 290 ect...

i am a bad speller

emmit is a :clown:

i just felt like adding that:doh:

it was only pick on Emmit day because I had to go to a different plant today to teach them things so my workload doesn't increase too terribly much, so in all my training I wasn't here.....that and my work PC is a POS Dell with Win95 on it

Emmit is 1000 times more intelligent when it comes to an angel as your are bud.

Skeletar---- That leaking might sound like a bad seal in your RAM...I had that problem, and after a while....It turned into a continuous leak......And I replaced my RAM assembly.....and my gun is shooting better than ever.... Check your ram out, that's what it sounds like is causing the leak ....maybe the shootdown because of the leak problem......When you go into high rates of fire you may be experiencing a big enough leak to not fire the ball consistent........

So no one is going to help me???? I also get "first shot Hot" problems.......

Switch out your LPR, on rare occasion they are temperamental and wont work in your gun but will on the next. Weird, I know.

I'm not getting any leaks........ I was just saying that after everytime I fire my gun, it sounds like it's being re-gassed up. Kinda weird. But the lpr seems to be recharging ok and it's at 87 psi.

The mini-reg is a good reg. But don't think that there are not better regs out there. I had a perfectly tuned gun and a clean and greased mini-reg. Still never got better then +/- 4. So I bit the bullet and got a sidewinder now I get +/-1 or 2. Was it worth the $80? It was to me. Is it worth it to you ? maybe, maybe not.
