I just called powerlyte to see if i could get a scepter with a blue tip, the answer is yes. The young lady informed me that they only stock black though.
She said that if you would like another color, they only Ano the sleve/insert colors (red, orange, purple green blue check site for colors). However they have to know in advance to the next shippment of sleves/inserts are sent to Ano. I do not know if they come with a "dust" look or "smooth".

I am listing this info because if you call within Aprox. 2 weeks the shippment will be gone so this is a "heads up" (i wouldnt call later than next week). thats 3 weeks (probally less)you should have your almost custom barrel. if your interested post here and i will see what i can do to get you a answer and if you wanna order call 919-713-4317. HEY, also at no extra price!

I could have told you that :p The tips will be a dust look (they will look identicle to the inserts). If you guys want, I can get you colors.

Knick Knack, you couldn't be more wrong. They said they could do it in dust or glossy for me. They also said that you can get the tip in a aqua blue or royal blue. Now here is the bad news, they had a blue c&c ir3 in their shop (same color as mine) and neither the royal blue or aqua blue came close to matching it.

Another bad thing is that you can't get SS backs for at least 4-6 weeks.

I just ordered a plain 5 insert scepter kit w/ 14 in. black tip yesterday and its suppose to be in tomorrow. Powerlyte said the only way to get it to match my blue ir3 would be to get it annodized myself and thats what i plan on doing once i get some free time.

Tell me, how could I not be more wrong? I was repeating to you what I was told not 3 days ago. You could also get the Scepter in colors to match their Hybrids (royal blue, red, and black). The SS backs are going to be a while, they had a machinery failure, and are waiting on that to be remedied. They are also backordered on the new style .688 inserts and .690 because their aluminum supplier is behind schedule.

did u even read what u said? u said that they only come in dust colors. They said you can get them in either dust or gloss. I also said u can only get them in royal blue or aqua blue which means neither comes close to matching a blue ir3.

I just got off the phone with Paul from Powerlyte...

You can get any of the insert colors (which includes the teal you were talking about) or any of the hybrid colors (which includes the red and the blue i was talking about). You can also get the standard black. All colors are available in gloss or dust. Those orders take a couple of weeks depending on when in the creation process you catch Powerlyte.


And I never even began to say that they had colors to match the blue IR3 (maybe you should read what i said). Who couldnt be more wrong now? I think you need to get your info straight before you go and tell other people they are wrong. I was incorrect about the dust/glossy part, but I knew the colors they came in at least.

My original post was mainly for the "creation process" you are talking about knick knack. Now is a good time to order without a long wait period.

damn knick knack, i ONLY said u were wrong about the gloss. And the only reason i mentioned their blue colors not matching was b/c i just knew from experience and i was informing every other blue ir3 owner out there about it.
