My crappy ball mouse is starting to crap out, what a coincidence. I am looking for a opto mouse for under 25-40 bucks, do any of you know which will suit my needs well, I mostly play C and C on my computer, so super lazer guided gps honed precision is not needed too much. Are logitech mice good. 800th post!

Razer mice are the best, ever. I believe the viper is in your price range; also check the Diamondback. The Diamondback is much better than a laser mouse. Razer also makes a new one that is even better but it is close to $100.

Ah, it's called the Copperhead, god that thing is sexy.

I went out to best buy and got a 50 dollar logitech mx518 gaming grade opto mouse, it is very nice I can customize sensitivity, so if i play a sniper game I click one button and it will change to a lower sensitivity, very fancy if you ask me. It isn't wireless so no batteries. 1600 dpi tops.

Actually they both have 1600 dpi and same frame per second numbers for a equal 5.8 megapixel per second resolution, mine has more buttons and is very nice, I put my computer in sleep mode and it is next to my bed and if that razor mouse was lit up all night I would go psycho on it, mine also looks pretty cool too. I'm sure both are good, and mine is what best buy had in stock.

The response time is not there on that mouse. I think it is funny that it took Logitech a year to get to where Razer is at. And do you really need more then 7 buttons? I mean I used to game hardcore with a three button mouse... I am not here to start something, I am simply disappointed that someone made a decision on what to get mainly because of superficial advertisement instead of going with a better product. Hell, for the price you paid you could of got the Copperhead which is the best mouse on the market. :nerd: :rantoff:
Edit: let's leave it at this, your new mouse is better than your old. :)

Just to rationalize my answers to your questions, I can go foreward and back by clicking a button, click minus to take sensitivity down if i ever go into sniper mode and stuff like that. 15g of response on both, this is equivalent to the copperhead, now the diamondback is still in a league of its own. Like every review of any paintball gun says, personal preference.

I think you meant the Copperhead is in a league of its own. All I am saying is that you could of gotten a equal if not better mouse for $43.00 and probably cheaper on eBay.
Edit: You can do all of what you listed with the Diamondback and by pressing in the scroll wheel and moving it up or down will adjust the sensitivity. Logitech can't touch that.
