Easiest thing for you to do is take the hard drive out of the old one and temp. attach it to your new one. What I would actually do is keep both hard drives in the new computer. Put only personal files on one hard drive and let the other drive just contain the operatoring system and the program files.

networking would be the easiest, just hook both computers up to a hub / switch / router and make sure file sharing is turned on and just drag them on over ..... if they are both windows once they are both setup and hooked up to the network most likely the computer is going to show up in the my network.

Bad thing about hooking in the hard drive is that out of the blue it wants you to format the drive....my big harddrive has all my crap and now wont let me veiw it unless i format :(

They also sell USB to USB connecting kits that the software to network the computers is included.

I would get a 1 or 2 GB flash drive and just transfer!

easily bypassed ... i take songs from my ipod and put them onto my computer all the time ... as long as its windows its very simple ... macs you have to dl a program and it does it for you ... but windows is the easiest thing ever (now i get w/e music i want)

Same thing just happened to me. I took the hard drive out of my old computer, and hooked it up to this device i have, then it plugs into a USB port. I put all of my hard drive into my new computer and deleted what i didn't want.

networking is your best bet.. hook them up to your internet.. go into mynetworkplaces and set up a small network.. its not hard..
all else fails.. burn the music in data format

If you have an iPod you could save the music on it and transfer it that way.
