Giving that you posted this in the 06 Speed forum, I can guess what you are looking at. The Speed is the non fancy version of the Angel, and is a bit cheaper than the top end. (currently G7 Fly)
You will not be able to use old style Angel barrels with the 06, it has the new style threading. I think you would enjoy this gun. If you want an lcd to program your board with, and just to have for the toy factor, I'd reccomend the G7 or G7 Fly. any angel would be a good starting angel. just depends if you want the high end with the lcd or just the led. its all personal preference

if you want eyes, a good starter is a used 05 speed or A4 fly. if you want eyes and new fangled stuff, go for the 06 speed.

if you don't care about eyes, I absolutely loved my A4. That was the longest i've ever owned a single gun! :) I never had any problems with sensi. So i'd also recommend a used A4. Hot guns. :)

There is absolutely no reason not to get the latest and greatest...G7 Fly (not the G7) or Speed 06.
