When I charge my gun with the tadao shoul I see a red light

When you charge the board the marker will remain in whatever mode you leave it in. So, it is recommended that you switch the marker into safe and begin charging. Technically, you could charge and fire the marker at the same time if you don't switch it over into safe mode.
