Photoshop is pretty good.
Go to webdiod.com and do his learn graphic design thing and study up, he is a very talented artist who makes great wallpapers for computers.

I use Adobe Photoshop 7.0 I'm not a graphic designer in any way but it more than suits my needs.

photoshop...
it's not very easy to make good looking stuff if you're a beginner though.
most beginners seem to think that you just run some kind of wizard and get a very nice pic..

i got photoshop 7 and paintshop pro 8... i mainly use photoshop tho, it suits most my needs.

I use ACDSee and Photoshop. ACDSee is like a scaled down Photoshop and handles most of my needs. But unlike Photoshop it is also manages image databases and batch processing of images. I'll use Photoshop if I need to work with layers or I need to make transparent backgrounds.

i use acdsee for slideshows pretty much, i like it for that :)

As long as you didn't need it for very long, you could always download the 30 day free trial of Photoshop or whatever graphics programs.

OH oh oh. you might also want to check out JASC Paint Shop PRO I think someone else owns it but I'm not sure.
