Just installed it. 9V Battery does not fit in the cut out of the board. Has anybody else received thier's yet and have the same problem?

Can you take a pic or if anyone else has it installed provide tigersfury with a pic of their board and battery installed?

Can take a pic if somebody can host. Can send it to someone's email address.

Take the pic, and then post in this thread here. When you post and before you submit the post, scroll down to where you see MANAGE ATTACHMENTS and you can select to upload the pic onto AOG. You'll see what I mean. Try it, if you mess it up, I'll delete it for ya.
Be sure to hit UPLOAD after you BROWSE and find the pic to upload.

YES,YES!!! I got both of my tadao boards installed in my speed 05's and they are awsome.... I installed the 9v battery upside down and it fits. I programed on both of them the example #5 which is the Ludicrous speed mode ( absolute fastest/bounciest)
a. Any fire mode (#10 Max Ramping mode)
b. Max rate of fire set to 26 (unlimited)
c. Debounce 1
d. AMB 1 ( if using semi-automatic) Im not using this one
e. CPF 1
f. Ramp start 5 ( using ramping modes) yes using this mode
g. Loader delay 1 ( 1= no delay)
This is a awsome board and very easy to program. I do have a preditor board in my third 05 speed but just ordered another one to replace the preditor board.

Sorry about that. Used to forums that require hosting of pics. Anyways, took some. Tried mounting battery normal, upside down, and every which way. Took pics also of how far the battery sticks out that won't allow grip to be placed back without a huge gap.

Messed up. Here we go hopefully.

Did not have any problem with both of mine when installed upside down. I did have a huge gap when installed the normal way.

I had a gap installing both ways. There's no difference between the 05 and 06 Speed, right?

Both of mine that has the Tadao boards are Speed 05's 90 grip...

Maybe that's the problem. I have a 45 grip. Did I have to specify which grip frame when I ordered?
kimberman

I really hope not. I just ordered another one for my third angel speed which is a 45 grip from fix my angel today.

I hope not either. I specified that my marker was an 06 Speed and to my knowledge all were produced with 45 frames.

Well, if fix my angel has one in stock then I will know very soon since if they ship it out it will be coming Express Mail delivery.

This might be a silly question but are some batteries "shorter" than others?
For some reason I seem to recall this being an issue with the Speed 05 stock board. Some batteries were too short and they just slightly slipped out from the connections.

i always thought batteries were the same length

i always thought batteries were the same lengthI'm not saying they are not the same length but for some reason, I recall hearing about this somewhere else.
I only have Duracel here or I'd check myself by comparing if they are shorter or not. AGain - I could be wrong.
i know some of the rechageable ones dont work in all guns(my friends Dm4 with thump boards can use the dogbone rechargable one. There too big )

I thought the same thing until I measured the battery against a Regular Coppertop Duracell and an Enegizer Battery. All were the same height. I emailed Angel Parts (that's where my board shipped from) but help from any of the MT's or community would be appreciated.

Well I played with the positioning of the battery some more and was able to get the profile down a little. I mounted the battery upside down with the bottom sitting wedged into the top part of the battery cut-out on the board. From there the battery sits on a diagnal incline towards the bottom of the grip frame. The grip sits more flush but there is still a slight bulge where the battery connector is at the bottom of the grip frame.
I also noticed maybe the battery connector is heavy duty which is nice, but may contribute to the extra height and the reason why the battery will not sit snug.
i think the biggest problem isn't the battery. its the fact that the wires come out from the connector in a perpendicular fashion. If you had a connector that was inline with the wires, i don't think it would buldge out.
considering that a 9v battery fits in the frame properly with the stock board, I don't think it has to do with the battery itself.
*edit* still waiting on my SSC board

I kinda agree with you Devs. I got it to the point where the rubber grip is almost flush and the battery does not move around inside the frame (although I have to get in some real field play, just been shaking and whipping it around house to simulate play). Other than that, the board rocks and is so fast. Haven't played around with too many of the settings and still have to get rid of a little mechanical bounce. I've always preferred the feel of the microswitch and with the angel trigger, it feels awesome. Now, I'm just waiting for Ken to resolve the relay problem and I will have my local Angel tech perform the Intellifeed mod. I'll be the first in my area with it on a Speed.
woot, my board's here. I'll see if I can figure something out with the battery situation
not to be negitave but from the way the pictures look, that looks like crap, theirs no housing for the battory ? what .. is it just going to rattle around in there ?
The Speeds are the only gun to my knowledge that actually has a spot for the battery to sit in. all others are loose in the frame, or somewhat loose (eblade, dm3)

Not true, my eblade has a definite pocket for it and it doesn't move at all.

ok guys sorry we have not seen an issue here. can you guys give us a sample of batteries that are tight? 9 volt batteries have no industry standard on physical size only the actual connection. please post asap so we can get on this.is this happening on only the 45 or has someone had an issue with a 90?
Ken - i'm using the procell that came with my gun, and it fits fine.

If you noticed, I mentioned Eblades. My point is, is that the eblades battery isn't encased 5 sides like the speed.

Hey Devs is your Speed a 45 or 90 degree frame. Also, when you get a chance can you take a picture of how your battery sits and post it up so I can compare it to mine. Thanks.
I have had our protype in a 45 frame for sometime. I think I might have narrowed it down just need to see a picture of Dev's.
Bob
First is with grip on. Very very slight buldge, practically unnoticable
Second is without the grip. You'll see that I wrapped the wires around the connections almost one complete revolution, and then I pushed the remaining wire into the frame next to the battery. Plug is at the base of the frame, and i just kinda pushed the battery downwards.
hope this helps

Looks like mine. But your battery doesn't sit in the cutout of the board like mine either. Is your battery and connector slightly raised at the base of the grip frame?
just barely. not enough to really make a difference. Mine doesn't seem to buldge like yours.

does this ssc bourd fit in a .45 frame? i have a .45 frame and been wantiong this new bourd. thanks guys
mine fits fine. My grip doesn't seem to buldge out as much as Tigerfury's does. Its so insignificant that I don't mind at all.

Emailed Eric at Angel Parts (where my board shipped from). Said he will look into it also and get back to me.
Like I said previously though, I was able to angle my battery so there is only a slight barely noticeable bulge. Still, I feel uncomfortable with my battery sitting at a 20 degree angle when most boards I have had experience with have the battery sitting flush and set "into" the board.
