The set-up:
-2k2 LCD (second owner...contacted owner, no help)
-Stock board
-Original tab-key set-up
-LCD Car Charger
-Cobra Regulated DC Power Supply Wall Charger Converter

Question:

All I am really looking for is someone to start off this post with a description as in-depth as possible on how to charge the gun with that set-up. As far as I know the charger and wall converter are not problematic. I am leaning towards buttons or a fried board as the main problems as I have tried some previous trouble-shooting, but no one has given me anything as in depth as I need to fix this.

Start with the above request and I'll modify questions as wanted.

Thanks, Scott

I have not made any progress just tooling around with this and I have another possibly troubling question.

I am new to the LCD boards and does yours make a quiet, high-pitched wine when the tab key is taken out? My board lights up and then displays all the possible displays then goes back to green. I try to turn it on but nothing happens. Is my board fried or not charged properly?

Alright, someone tipped me off that the battery might be the culprit and that it is not holding enough charge, but that wouldn't explain why I can still see the normal turn on progress up to the point of SAFE mode being on the screen.

Come on guys, I really need some help with this.

tab key LCD leads me to believe tyou have an old-style battery (nicad). the problem with the nicad batteries is that they must be fully drained before you can recharge them effectively. try leaving your gun on and letting the charge go out completely. then plug it bag up + charge it all the way. if your still having problems, your board/battery are probly gone. if thats the case, id suggest getting a FLY mod done by one of the MT's cuz that replaces the abttery with a 9v battery + newer/better board
