Had a night speedball game last night w/ a generator powered light tree and had a blast. But unfortunately so did my balls in my barrel. Break after break after break. I was using x-ball golds which i think are .689 and the temperature was around 50 degrees. Anybody have a clue what the deal is? I switched to allstars for a game and had no problems. My buddy also had xball silvers and tried those and didn't have as many barrel breaks. Are xballs too brittle or the wrong size? I adjusted my dwell from 9 to 14 and tr from 20 to 14 and still had breaks. Here are my settings-MROF 30- hopper speed 12- hopper a1- tr 15. Hopper is a Empire reloader b on speed 2. Any answers? Please help gun is only a week old.

If you are using stock barrel than the solution would probly be to get a barrel kit so you get the ball matching the barrel perfectly, after all they are just breaks in the barrel not the breech.

So yea the xballs were just the wrong size

Unfortunately, it is getting very near the temps outside where even 50 degrees F is too cold and will make even good/fresh paint rather brittle. That is one cause for the barrel breaks.

But remember, that is NOT chopping but barrel breaks.

That and maybe your barrel was too small for the paint.

But isn't the standard barrel size a .689? That is what xball is stating also for ball size.

yeah the paint probably got to brittle. just wondering but why is ur empire on speed 2? put it to the fastest, and someone told me(i think it was jetwing) to just put my hopper speed on 8. i dont know why though

you are just getting a slightly longer BIP delay by doing that. I personally run my hopper on 2 and my loader setting on 12.
