View Full Version : Just something to ponder.....
Robwithwings....I love you no matter how much you hate me..... But anyways, How much of an efficiency loss am I going to experience by turning the dwell up?? gain for turning it down?? any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Turning dwell up will cause the gun to lose alot of shots per fill. When I had my dwell at 16 in cold weather, I got like 800 shots per fill. And now it is at 14, and I am getting like 1200 shots per fill off my 68/45. Remember dwell settings with fragile paint, you don't want to much air flow, or you will break more paint......

was this supposed to be somewhere else? why was a new thread started for a question directed to a member instead of using a PM? I'm confused suddenly.
IT wasn't directed at anyone. It was directed at people who could answer my question..... We have spoken on Pm's, and I have yet to recieve a sensible answer for his Immature remarks.... But anyways....2k1darklcd, There really is that big of a change? i didn't think it would be that drastic.

If you think about it it does make a big difference, because every shot the bolt, and valve will stay open longer, and shoot more air. It adds up after shooting 2-3 pods and a hopper a game......
You don't think it would be that drastic of a difference, but it does make a 2-3 hundred shot difference with a 2-3 difference in dwell setting.........plus with dwell settings, you have to mess with your input pressure and stuff........

Skeletar i love you too........i put my dwell at 16 and the gun is very gentle on the ball and i dont notice that big of a difference on air consumption
I appreciated your apology rob, thanks.

Well, at this point I think this thread belongs more in the chat forum than it does in the LCD Forum, so I'm moving it.

what did odyssey tel you to do?
Hi Josh,
Try very lightly oiling the belt.
The potentiometer is set up as a sensitivity control. Fully CCW is least
sensitive to
ball motion, fully CW is most sensitive to ball motion.
Try setting it at fully CCW
The potentiometer is the little 3/16 square just to the right of center at
the top.
The link should help with taking the HALO apart.
