I have a Crossfire 70/45 hp and a Crossfire 68/45 lp. I like the peanut size and was wondering if I could swap the regs on them so that the 70/45 would be lp, and the 68/45 would be hp.
What do you guys think?

Find someone in your area who is certified, or send it off. It is definately possible.

you can send it back to crossfire to have them switch the regs and put everything back together. they test it too. only $45. I had mine switched at the factory and it has been great.

The regs will be locktited on. I use a wrench on the fill nipple [grab the nipple with an adjustable and use it to lever the reg off] and a padded vice. Remember you will have to relocktite them back on with RED locktite and let it cure at least 24 hours before filling the tanks again.

Why did you capitalize "red", is there some importance to it? Isn't the type of locktite, not the color?

The different types of loctite are color coded.

And if I am correct the RED loctite is the strongest, and that is definately what you need.

You both are 100% correct.
