well... all paint differs in size, so it would be best if you got a kit, but id say get the .689 thats a little mor common than the .691

the paint i use is .689 so does that mean i should get bored size .689 or does that mean i should get bore size .691

If its good paint you should be okay. If your worried that much about it then get the bigger bore size, that way you'll be able to shoot different sizes of paint, just won't be consistant over the crono.

i think im going to go with the .691 b.c the paint is field paint so some is distorted i guess. i think i can handle the inconsistency on the crono

yeah you should be okay with the .691.

I personally find that a .691 is the size i use most often.

Paint will change due to humidity/temp etc....field paint, typically being cheaper, tends to be affected more so if you're not going to get a kit, bigger would be better as in the .691 or a .693.....

Is it just me? I find that the .691 is too big, except for my cheaper paint - other paint just rolls through .691 - does too big a bore cause barrel breaks?

too big causes roll through on occassion and inconsistency in speed and accuracy breaks are due to too small of a bore
