Man I hate having to write this, but I just wanted to know how other people felt. Does it seem like the performance of the once legendary angel can keep up with the matrixes and timmy's of today? I once was the paintballer who hailed the WDP angel as the only marker to have, the gun that will never need to be upgraded, tuned, timed, or tweaked. I use to say to newbs that it was the Aston Martin of paintball guns. But with the coming of the Matrix, and the Intimidator paintballguns it seems that the angel lacks certain performance abilities that Bob Long and Diablo made standard in their top of the line markers. A few of the most obvious abilities that the Matrix and the Intimidators have are as follows:(1) The Matrix can much easily be shot faster than an Angel, reason being the difference in how each gun calculates the max ROF. The angel counts how fast you WILL shoot, limits you and the Matrix lets you shoot as fast as it will go and THEN halts you. (2) The paint tolerance of the Intimidator is by far Unmatched by the Angel. Timmy's can shoot any paint in any weather,(same as a Matrix) whereas Angels are intolerant to a LOT of paints in varying weather conditions. To me it seems like a lot of players are switching from their timmys and matrixes for these two reasons. Also It doesn't seem like WDP has a very good feature on the angels to tackle the cold weather thing (who likes messing with the dwell?) All in all I am a solid angel fan  and will always be. My purpose in writing this post is to possibly get the attention of the sponsors, and to find out if others agree or disagree.

it seems like your purpose in writing this post is o stir up sh*t. this site being the ANGEL OWNERS forum, they are on top in here. i have no other coment for this post because ive seen similar posts all over the internet, and honestly, i dont care for them. really man, who cares?

i agree with zombie. i feel that in no way is this articles purpose to start sh!t, but to let others know what is goin on. Angels arent top dogs anymore because people like bob long wanted to be just as good too. The diablo matrix and bob long timmy are awesome guns. angel owners all over this site will deny that, but that doesnt make it an true. agel owners are cocky and it has finally caught up to them to bite em in the butt. you guys finally have some one your own size to mess with so dont b!tch about it. if your guns really are what you say they are, then prove it with some action. this was bound to happen and it finally has so dont be surprised.

I am not an angel owner, and I think many would look to hell to be frozen over the day I buy an angel, but I would rather have an angel over a timmy any day (i have no experience with matrices). Timmys have always seemed like a shoddy product to me. They felt flimsy, they were uncomfortable. It seemed like all the wannabes that wanted a machine gun bought a timmy. Yea it fires fast, but what does that give you? At MGO, teamates angels were a little iffy, they upped the dwell and shot like champs. I saw timmys that were a bit more finnicky with no such easy fix.
The beauty of paintball is you can shoot whatever the hell you want to, and most likely still succede. Who cares what everyone else is shooting, just shoot what you want.

Wasn't it the IR3 that was the gun of the year...........

Uh.......Timmys have a BIG reliability problem. But I will entertain the idea of them being in the same class for a second. The only thing that other "high-end" electronic guns will do is force a market. An example......the new Limited LCD Angels for only $829 (or close to that at least) I bought my LED for more than that and thought the prices were always going to go up.
And wait for E-blades to start showing up more. The speed of an Angel with the distance of a cocker.
The best way to compare is a Lamborghini to a Ferrari. They are both fast and infamous but they are just not the same cup o tea for everyone. Personally I think out of all of them the Angel still has the best looks and perfomance.

I actually do own an angel!!! (I have on of them for sale right now) and swear by them. I just wanted to express what I have come to find as fact. And the reason why I posted this was because the chat portion is about "anything and everything" I never once said that I disliked angels, what I was looking for as a response was something like " no if you set up your angel like this........ then you can shoot faster than a matrix or "Not true! intimidators are definitely not better when it comes to a lower profile when snapping" I was looking for forced thinking through controversial thought.
I think this is a great thread to express your opinions and I think It should stay up.
I have Shot all three markers. I have to say the Matrix Shoots very nicely. My team mate has one. They are so Quiet and I just love that. They are a low pressure gun. I perfer a MAtrix over a timmy.
The timmy's I have shot. Timmy's are really skinny. One thing I do not like about them is every one I ave shot has been uncomfy. They are loud too.
And we come to my angel......... I have had it for 6 months. I could have any gun I want but I chose the angel because it is my preference. I like every thing about it. It's Quiet (rember I like quiet guns) It's accurite. And when I get cops 2 it won't chop.
JUst my 2 cents!
