Thats what I thought at first, but did you check out the price on the solid g7 flys? I think its like 1100, which is pretty darn cheap too. The fades are normal priced, but the solid colors are cheap

With the G7 being a discontinued marker you are bound to find them cheep.

Sorry, I didn't realize that the G7's were discontinued. The only thing I think is weird though is that on that same site the A4 Flys are still like 1400.

Whats up this new ANGEL to rule them all? I just got my Arsenal a little while ago. I don't want my gun to become obsolete and besides I dont think my parents would be too happy if all of sudden I was like yea something new is coming out let me sell my gun and get that.

If it shoots paintballs it isnt obsolete....its to early to start the crying about another new angel already..............

....and after THAT Angel there will be another new Angel. There will ALWAYS be a new gun on the horizon. If you worry about that then there is no point in buying anything. Just quit the sport.

As for obsolete....like Fatback says. If it shoots paintballs it is not obsolete. A new gun does not make the old one stop working.

yea I understand, it gets irritating though when a new gun comes out every month and I realize there will always be something newer but I'm happy with my Arsenal right now and will be for a long long time.

Thanks to tgallo I will be getting my fly in the mail soon :D I got the fly because I wanted a reliable marker to carry me through college and I am getting it while I still have the money.

This is just speculation, bu I think Angel has taken the current design to its max with the G7 with the Fly trigger, so to get any better than it already is WDP will have to reinvent the wheel in their next marker, I think it will be amazing. It will take my Fly and dump its resale into the ground, but I didn't buy it as an investment, I bought it because its an amazing marker.

I like to have the latest and greatest and accept that I will lose money everytime. I don't bother with the Speed line because I like the flagship line with the LCD. I also don't count aftermarket custom markers (Dark, Arsenal, etc.) as a new gun. Just a different look. Basically I try to wait until all the custom versions are available and see which one I like the best and that come in solid red with a 90 grip.

the thing i dont like is that we buy these expensive guns and then their price drops dramatically when a new one comes out...

I do apologise... Bad choice of words...

Should have said discontinued as in no longer manufacturing the standard G7, instead of using the word obsolete,

This has been commented on like 10 times in this very thread, if u dont always want the latest and greatest then it doesnt matter.

Thats the point,, if ure not into the latest and greatest then u will keep ure gun for like 5 years, and by then its expected for the price to go way down anyways...

the thing i dont like is that we buy these expensive guns and then their price drops dramatically when a new one comes out...I understand that thought, but ask yourself two questions. Did you know it was going to drop when you bought it? (If you've been around paintball, and especially WDP products for more than 6 months the answer should be yes) Did you buy it as an investment? (if so you would have been better off with a nice mutual fund) Markers are like computers, the new products and price changes come fast and furious. You can buy a 6 month old "obsolete" marker and save a few hundred bucks, or you can have the latest and greatest for more $$$. In the long run you are going to lose money, but that's part of the price you pay to play the game.

remember kids, the gun is only a small part of paintball. You can have the newest gun out there and still not do anything. It depends mostly on the player ^_^
