Hey guys, we are new to this site and we are a team from Derby Ks.
We use all Timmies as of right now, but we have so many problems with chopping paint when we have to use any paint less than top tournament grade, that we are looking at the G7 FLY'S for our team guns for next season!
Our question is----are the G7 FLYS really as easy on paint as they claim, and are they the best marker out today----we read all the post about ANGELS and are trying to piece together the real story behind them! Before we sell all 8 of our Timmies, we need some input on the G7's---thanks for your opinions---Team Bad to the Bone, www.badtothebonepaintball.com

You'll be extremely pleased with the performance out of the G7 Fly! The Angel platform is one of the oldest in paintball and as WDP continues to innovate the Angel it has only grown faster and better.
However, have you considering the 2006 Angel Speed? Also a fantastic marker at a fraction of the cost.

i agree with sparco, i have the g7 fly and it is awesome, but maybe you guys should think about the 06 speed, people say it shoots the same just no screen and stuff; and its not as much; but if u get the fly u will not be disappointed.

find a dealer and explain the situation, and see if you guys cant get one for field testing ?
or better yet find players you know/trust not to blow smoke up your ass, and have them describe the pro/cons of the G7s.
Personally im amazed at how my G7 Fly handles brittle paint.
Ive had barrelbreaks(but thats more to do with paint/barrel match) but after this weekends tournament and another case or two..or three through it..
Not a single chop, nor had any other issues with it, and its still on factory settings, with the exception of dwell being set at 7.

Simply put, G7 Fly rocks. You cannot go wrong with an Angel.

For the last several years, I have preferred matrixes and timmies over anything else. I really believe that for a while they were the best markers going. However, I recently shot an Arsenal fly. I immediately put my DM5 on ebay and ordered one. That is the impression it made on me.
But if you are looking for a marker that will shoot great using low quality paint, you are going to be disappointed with anything you buy. Even a matrix, which is the easiest on paint of any gun I've owned, won't perform well with crappy paint.

Hey thanks alot men for the opinions----Our team is going to shoot a couple of g7's after this weekends tourney! Its seems like so many of the tournament promoters around here are selling Karnage TEAR---their mid grade paint for local tourneys and we cant get it to shoot thru our Timmies without some chops pretty regular, but if they sell Draxxus formula 13 or x ball, we dont have a single shop all day!---thanks again for all you input and keep it coming!----make us an Angel believer!

From my point of view, but lack of experience with the G7 fly and 06 speed, I'm of the opinion that the 06 speed will not handle EXACTLY like the G7 fly. As a comparison, I have used an A4 fly and an 05 speed with the same board settings, but the 05 speed felt not only lighter but more "jumpier" (i.e. more kick due to a lighter gun mass). I suspect the same with the 06 speed vs G7 fly, as the 06 speed lacks the rechargable battery. But I might be wrong...

Ok guys, we took everyones advice and bought our first G7 Fly yesterday and set the trigger up and I cant keep it out of my 3 sons hands-----they love it! We put it in demo mode with the trigger magnets adjusted lite and everytime anyone of us can get a message on it-----bps out of range----xx balls per second. Thats over the 31, as sometimes it does read 31. Thats wicked fast! Thanks for the great advice to all, as we ordered 3 Arsenals today! We shot a couple of hoppers of paint thru it in semi mode and it just rails 15bps effortlessly.
We believe that its going to be a big difference from shooting our Timmies and always worying about breaking paint! And the frame and trigger to reg. layout is so easy to switch hands and come up shooting----very comfortable! Thanks to all again for the advice ---as we are very proud to be shooting Angels!---Team Bad to the Bone----Derby Ks.
