Cutting your feedneck!
A lot of people have been asking how to cut your hopper in the right lenght so the paint align the eye to make sure it will detect the paint. So, here is a quick guide.

First you put your hopper on the gun (and feedneck) you want the hopper to fit. Then you put paint in the hopper and turn the hopper on so you would get the paint stack just like when you are ready to shoot.
To get the lenght of how much to cut of your feedneck you measure the lenght from the eye to the middle of the paintball below (shown in red). If the hopper doesn't sit low enough for your taste now then add the diameter of a paintball to the lenght indicated by the red line.
The masurement might take some tinkering and playing around especially if the hopper is colored. I looked up the feedneck and put in a paintball to figure out where the eye is and then made a temporary mark on the outside to make sure.

This picture shows how the eyes are exactly aligned with the paint and how the hopper sits lower on the gun. Now the hopper always detects paint and doesn't continue spinning even when I am not shooting.

To cut the feedneck i used a small hacksaw and taped the feedneck with masking tape to prevent it from cracking.

This guide could be used on other hoppers but is made for the egg. I do not take responsibility for anyone who ruins their feedneck doing this.

If people like it you are welcome to sticky this!

that's interesting and I never thought of that before. You'd think that the folks that make the hopper would position the eye correctly in the first place.

That is impossible. It depends on how far it is from where the hoppers feedneck stops to where the ballstack hit the breech in the gun.
This doesn't only vary from gun to gun but also depends on which size feedneck you use.
