I just purchased a brand new g7 fly. I have no clue on what barrel or tank or what to do with the fly. I own a dm5 and that marker kicks a$$., but the fly was just so sexy I had to buy it. I always wanted to buy one but I heard they have a lot of problems, is that true? I got a polish blue and its sweet. anywayz where do I start and where can I get info or a site on upgrades. Thanx for the help guys!:notsure:

Out of the box, NO UPGRADES are needed. My advice would be to use it and get used to it's ease of use and insane rates of fire.

Other than that, get the fastest loader you can afford, a great LP tank with a good recharge rate, and a barrel or barrel kit of your choice.

G7 Fly having problems? You heard way wrong!

Welcome to AOG and to the Angel family. You came to the right place.

My first question would be that if you heard about all these problems then wouldn't you do your research BEFORE actually purchasing one. Nevertheless....you should not have any problems. I have owned many Angels over the years with VERY FEW problems. My G7 Fly works flawlessly. You probably were told about these "problems" from folks who cannot afford to buy one.

Like Trig said....a LP tank is recommended. Crossfire is very good. Also...get a Halo or Reloader or something. You need a fast hopper to keep up with the high rates of fire. A barrel kit is nice too. I have a Freak set but now I have to wait for a back to come out with the new Angel threads. Since you are new to the Angel world you may not know that the G7 Fly (and the Speed 6) have different barrel threads than previous Angels. So if you are looking at a new barrel or kit make sure it has the NEW ANGEL THREADS.

thanx for the advice, your right about doing research, I usualy do before buying anything but it was a great deal and I had to take it. I guess you can call me a risk taker. Before I bought my dm5 I researched for about a month. I cant wait till it comes. i hope its accurate as a dm5.
