View Full Version : Arsenal G7 Fly PROBLEMS!!!

Okay, I picked up my Arsenal G7 Fly this Friday so I could play Saturday. Well, I played all day, today, and the gun shot pretty nice, and I didn't bother messing with the settings. Well, come to find out, none of the 3 function buttons on the grip's spine work and all I can even get the gun to do is do a 20 minute game timer thing other than just turning it on so I can shoot. Also, sure enough I look and only one of the fricken eyes is working. Any idea what could be causing this? And is there any way to fix it without taking it back to my local proshop to get them to look at it or ship it back to the factory? I'm really pissed off that I spent close to $1500 dollars on the gun and it seems to be shooting nice only to have all these things wrong with it. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. This is my first ANGEL and I don't want to get a negative outlook/attitude toward them and second guess my purchase. I just want all these problems to go away!!!

well, what do you mean by only one of the eyes was working when you looked? Because one sends the beam, and one receives it, so they both wont be lit up. As far as the buttons, if you are comfortable w/ this, take the board out and see that the black buttons attached to the unit itself are working, and if they are, maybe youre just not pressing them the right way when they're in the frame.

yeah, try using a hex key to push the buttons in cuz on the normal g7's at least, i find the buttons a bit difficult to push. And as said above, only one side of the eyes should be lit up, if it was broken you wouldn't be able to shoot unless you turned off the eyes.

Okay so the eyes are working correctly then. That leaves the buttons. The third one seems to be able depress and I feel some resistance like a button should feel, but the top two dont even move at all.

the bottons are hard to press on it but i am not able to put my hands on your gun to make observations. being a long time angel user, buttons on the G7/FLY markers are harder to press than say on the a4 FLY/a4/04 and 03 SPEEDs.

I definitely put some juice into when I was pushing the buttons but still got no response. The third button seems to work, but the other two have a different feel to them.

Do the top two have the buttons under the TPR(the thing your pushing on)??

...I feel for your pain & frustration...BUT..

...it may have been a good idea to open the box and test it out there in the shop before rushing off to the field...

..if the shop staff lacked familiarity with WDP products, I'm sure someone there had enough 'experience' with markers in general to assist you at that time...

..once you leave the store it pretty much comes down to hearsay if you bring it back... (now good shops will work with you, their reps are on the line)...

JustTooGood, have you tried the buttons outside of the frame? Try that and let us know.

I don't know what the TRP stuff on the back of the g7 frame is like. But I know that on my speed06 it can slide around a bit (up and down only). So maybe the thing your pushing on isn't lined up properly with the buttons on the board?

Just a thought.

taking it back to my local proshop to get them to look at it

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Best advice ever....................buy from a M/T from now on..............everyone else has answered on the button issue, but remember production accidents happen on anything, cars/tv's/boats/radios etc. etc.

Don’t forget you can only use the setting when the gun is turned on and in SAFE mode.

When you first turn it on it goes live... Hold the top button (top small one not the charging flap) till the LED goes from RED to Green, now the middle button will select the basic modes. To do advanced modes take of the left grip cheek and use the yellow button.

You just need to find your way round your new Angel...

Enjoy don’t get frustrated with it. (Just like purchasing a new mobile phone.. Takes time to understand how to use all the features.)

Thanks for the help and advice everyone. I hope I can get this problem resolved fairly soon. Even though I didn't purchase my gun from FMA, is there anyway I could send it to them to get it tuned/looked at, or purchase a warranty?

Personal Error and the buttons were extremely hard to push and I was afraid something wasn't working right and that it was broken, but everything ended up being okay, I just had to hold the button down really firmly and for longer than I had originally thought. I kind of jumped to conclusions but I'm glad everything is alright.

Lucky you, one of mine is still glued into the frame.
