Should that be an authentic pic, which it looks to be, it seems this could be quite a kick arse angel! It seems to have the body style and grip frame of the G7 Fly (minus the milling of course). Seems to me it will basically be a G7 minus the extra bells and whistles. I like! :cool:

Looks like fly barrel, and fly trigger frame, just no screen. Be cheaper then the fly also, which was the point of the creation of the "speed" line of markers. I dig it. :) Although would rather have a G7 Fly instead :)

To me, looks like a great option for those who cannot afford the G7 line of Angels but want the G7 internals (assuming they are G7 internals) and functionality. Of course this is assuming that it falls in the same price range as the Speed 05 when that came out last year. I like it.

Anyone have a rumored price tag on the Speed '06 yet? I'll assume under 1K like the '05 when it initially came out? Also, am I seeing the picture correctly to assume the '06 Speed has the G7 ram locking, push the bolt further forward thingy? Any projected release date?

I have a graphite 05 speed , when i got it i was expecting like a greyish cobalty color but it was a grey mixed with blue, like pewter. It looks tight so its all good . Ive seen a gloss graphite g7 that is one tight gun

It has to because the barrel is set back from the front of the gun like the Fly which is the main reason for switching to new barrel threads.

I wouldn't doubt the confusion over at DYE one bit. LOL. I like 'um and all and no offense to DYE but I recently bought a Dye drop forward from them. They took my money and claimed it was sent. Never received it. They said I got it, I said no I didn't. So we go back and forth. Got proof from UPS that they never picked up a package for me at DYE and that UPS never deliveried squat to me so in the end, after two weeks of B.S., DYE sends out my drop. Agh!

I was told by FMA that DYE has done a SMALL batch of barrels for the new Angel threads. Makes sense to wait till the marker gets out to the public in force before committing to a large volume. I'd do the same thing. Not that there is any doubt the '06 won't sell like hot-cakes, it just makes good business sense. I'm sure in a short time Dye, CP, and others will come out with the new angel threads in large amounts.

OK, excuse my ignorance of the topic (I've been back in pumpland since July), but if the new Fly and Speed 06 use A-5 threads, couldn't everyone running one of those guns just order an A-5/ProLite barrel from XYZ Barrels, and be just fine? From the other topics regarding the new Fly/new Angel going forward barrels, everyone had been saying that they're identical to the A-5. A quick check of DYE's site says that they do thread their tubes for the A-5. Comments and opinions?
