Rabbits are too expensive. I would opt for chickens or piglets, way cheaper than rabbits.

Not even close. Snakes do not eat that often in the wild. Some every few months so when they do eat they do not generally choose something small or something large. They choose what is not too big that can overpower them or kill them and this depends on what is around them.

saw that on the news. the story was that these pythons are taking over the florida everglades or at least they are so prevalent that the alligator is no longer the top of the food chain anymore.

Not naturally taking over but from owners who realize how big a Burmese can get long after they have owned it then releasing them into the wild.

i was thinking in about 5 years letting mine go in a playground after a few months of not being fed, and its not easy to get chickens and piglets in st louis city, rabbits on the other hand, are easy to find for cheap in petshops
