GHTP.net delivers the XBOX MAX'D release date... its... its!!!

OCTOBER 18TH. Yes, this month!

The XBOX version of GHTP MAX'D will be on the shelves at your favorite game provider on the 18th of the month. So head on over and make sure you have your copy reserved.

We will also have the final box art (both front and back) and some new content coming to the GHTP.net site tonight, or tomorrow (hey I'm a busy man...).

So you heard it here first. XBOX GHTP MAX'D. 18TH. Happy Day.

MAX'D contains:
- Split Screen and Co- Op:
Up to Four players on the same Xbox.

- Control your team
Set Teamate starting positions, moves and targets. Use field and voice commands to direct all the action.

- Build your field
Design and play your own custom fields in single player and share them on XBOX LIVE.

-New Locations, Gear and Soundtrack
29 tournaments and 213 field layouts. 12 new markers. Music by B-Real, DJ Lethal and more.

Anything about a release on Playstation 2???

All other system ports (console and handheld) are still in process, but their release dates wont be announced til they're closer to completion.

Originally they wanted all the games on the shelf the same day... but since they're all based around ports from the Xbox version it seemed more logical to release the Xbox version since its gone gold, and then release the others in the near future.

So... no release date set on other ports, but they're still coming along. I know Greg has raved about how he digs the R1/R2 or L1/L2 triggers being able to be walked.

After having played it for several days, I gotta admit I'm marginally impressed. I found the game to essentially be a complete replica of the original with a few improvements. Features that should have been in the first game. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game but honestly I would have preferred to download it as an 'expansion pack' like I did with Halo 2 features and pay $15.00
