and anything special taht sets them apart

and if u guys got like one of those diagram things thad be sweeet

thanks

ray

ps i need this info for my math teacher who sees no difference in an angel and a tippmann( head of my schools paintball club)

Check out the MORE section at the top right of the forum to see some of the manuals for Angels. You'll find some pics in the manuals. Also, www.wdp.tv for all the manuals.

im not a tech but i can give you a rough explination, air enters the mini reg and is regulated down to around 225psi. some air then goes to the lpr, and some goes to the valve chamber. the air in the lpr is regulated down to between 55-80 psi depending on ure set up. this air then goes to the solenoid where it awaits comand from the board. when the board senses paint, and a trigger pul is registered an electircal signal is sent from the board to the solenoid/14-way, this signal is then trips the solenoid which uses the air from the lpr to force the ram piston, hammer and bolt assembly forward. when the hammer hits the valve stem it forces open the valve and releases the 225 psi from the reg through the valve and into the bolt shooting the ball out.
It is open bolt, and what sets the angel apart from other guns is that instead of using barbs and hoses inside the gun to direct the air to where it needs to go the angel uses internally milled passage ways giving it better flow, more speed, and better consistancy. there is a diagram some where around here but you can search for that, but it is of a lcd platform gat so itll be alittle different from your speed, not the actual functions just the placement of the components.
and how much did you have to beg ure parents on that one, damn, i mean at 14 there is no way in hell my parents would have dropped close to 1500 hundred for my set up, damn kids these days.

yeah, basically what sloffie said... here's a post i made in a similar thread about a month ago

an angel works essentially on the same principle as some other high end guns, Timmy, Ego, Viking, Cyborg. in a nutshell here's how it goes:
1) air comes out of tank
2) air goes through inline regulator (called minireg on angels), regulated down to ~250psi.
3) most of this air is stored behind the valve, but some goes to the LowPressureRegulator, which regs it down to ~65psi
4) the air from the LPR is diverted by the solenoid (which works like a 3way on a cocker) to the front of the ram, holding the bolt back/chamber open, allowing a ball to load. this is the ready-to-fire position
5) when the trigger is pulled, the circuitboard signals the solenoid to divert the LPR-air to the back of ram which then pushes the hammer and bolt forward simultaneously (because they're linked by the bolt pin)
6) the ball is pushed forward by the bolt, past the detents, at the same time that the hammer is engaging the valve stem, opening the valve and releasing the 250psi-air which travels through the valve, up to the bolt which is now aligned with the valve (because it's movign forward at the same time as the hammer). the air goes through the bolt (which is essentially just a tube) to the ball, firing it out the barrel.
7) the board signals the solenoid to divert the LPR-air back to the front of the ram, moving the hammer/bolt assembly back to the ready position, allowing another ball to feed.

my math teacher who sees no difference in an angel and a tippmann( head of my schools paintball club)

Tell him to stick to math and get out of paintball :devil1:

The only thing that a tippy and angel share is reliability
