Charger problem plz help

ok i posted this over at the pbnation forum 2 but.

Does the car have to be on when iam charging it? and idk wtf happen i tryed to leave it charged over night and sumthing melted the plastic the top alittle is oncaved and the bottom is bumbly and my gun still isnt charged right now it will go up and down 3 times once i plug it in then 1 red dot with blink and then like 5 mins later it stops and my gun still isnt charged

no the car doesnt have to be on (but the gun DOES). if somthing melted, i wouldnt use that car to charge my angel again L lol L
try borrowing another charger or battery from someone, this way you can eliminate possible causes for the problem. could b a bad charger, battery, maybe a board (but im not sure the board would do this)

it should be fully charged when it starts blinking red.

how long have u had this gun? if its new, have u charged it before or are you trying for the first time?

I hope I am not right but it might be the board. Someone tried to charge my IR3 with a charger that wasn't ment for the IR3 and after that i couldn't charge. I would say charge and start cascading but after a few minutes it would stop.

I had to make some ghetto rig direktly to the battery with a timer to charge and that worked ok. Battery was fine.

I know have an A4 board, same battery and charger and it works perfekt. So, bad board.

If you know someone else who has a speed or A4 (maybe even IR3) then try their board, bat and charger to find out whats wrong.

Stuff melting? Sounds really bad. check you charger first so you won't fry another board!

if it melted, then i'd say it's a short in the charger...

well before it melted it would go up like 3 or 4 times then just blink red then after awhile it would stop
