I honestly didnt expect a Fly to be made of the G7...but wow. I havent been keeping up on paintball gossip after HB this year...just took a break.

I just read the specs of the Fly, and call me crazy but it REALLY sounds like some minor changes. A valve change, different bolt stroke, and different threads.

Is that honestly worth the extra money...Im not mad about the actual price being so high, im mad that the resale value of my Flied 4 will drop like a rock because of a model with increased air flow and different threads.

BTW how much are flied 4's going for these days?

BTW how much are flied 4's going for these days? There's really no "extra" money involved. The introduction of the fly brought the normal G7's down to 1,250. The G7 fly's are 1,350, so there's really no increase in price. Now, the prices haven't gone down on most of the normal websites. However, if you're planning on buying one...I suggest buying from an MT...I'd suggest doing that anyway, but they're pretty much the only places you can get that price drop other than if you bought one at an event.

Minor changes yes, but in my opinion it is worth it. The new milling alone is worth it to me, not to mention the new trigger. And like Necrophobia420 said, check out the master techs. I know fixmyangel has them for 1395 with free unimount and angry halo board, and performance angel has them for 1350 with free unimount. Both are awesome deals.

I think I am going to hold out for the A8-Fly, and get some more games out of my G7.

I think YES. Where you around when the A4 Fly came about? Now THAT was an upgrade, my friends. If WDP DID release a G7 fly i thought it would be a major improvement, just like the origional A4 Fly. And yet all they did was change the milling, valve, and the trigger adjustment structure, WHICH, may i add is entirely pesonnal preferencial changes (minus the valve) All other changes would be completely unnoticeable to people like you and me.

Nah...i think WDP made a mistake with this one. It looks like the §§§§, i do believe so, but when i first saw it i couldnt help but think "Metal ion" ><

In reply to number 3 + 4, i did not realize that it was only 100$ more. But still, i can swap a 65% better flowing valve in my gun for 50. The milling is really cool, but the milling on the 4 is probably the best they ahve ever done.

im out

The fly is really not any more expensive then the g7 was when it came out. The g7 released at $1345 and now the fly can be had for $1350. The g7 has just dropped since it released. I really don't think its all that bad of a deal, but maybe thats just me.

I wasn't around...and in fact, my first fly was a a4fly...Also I have yet to even shoot a g7 let alone the g-fly so I my opinions are entirely invalid as far as performance. But like other people said the price diff is not big from a g7 to a g-fly.

Two words Arsenal G-fly, which is really one word, but that piece is really the freakin sexiest gun I've seen.

IF the "minor changes" are so minor then lets see you make them yourself

Damn...whats with all these flamers..

IF the "minor changes" are so minor lets see you make them yourself

...Yes i can put in a valve with 60% better flow...

What is your point? So, i cant eliminate one vernir wheel and make it work. Ok?

THAT is what posts on angel owners are supposed to be like. Informative and intelligent. Kudos to ya!

Guys relax...i am a huge wdp fan and hardcore angel supporter, and my mere point is that this gun really did not have enough performance changes to be considered a Fly version; after all of the changes they did last year to the 4, i'm just not impressed at all by the specs. The milling is secksi, but most people who were around when the Fly came about would understand my opinion.

The only major changes from the A4 to the A4 fly was eyes and milling. The reason WDP calls the gun a FLY is because it is mainly lighter than the gun it was based on. You are crazy, the G7 Fly is also faster than the the G7 because of the new software and the new trigger design.

The only difference between the Fly and the regular version of an Angel is that it is lightened. I know that the A4 Fly introduced eyes, but it certainly was not the first fly edition to come out. The LCD had a Fly and I think the IR3 had one too, but I'm not sure.

So therefore, given the the amount of milling I'd have to assume it's much lighter and tighter, and deserves the Fly name.

By the way, I think the Fly designation came from flyweight (a boxing class?). Please correct me if I'm wrong.

My G7 is faster than my A4 Fly and I'm sure my new G7 Fly will be faster than my G7. Either way, I don't care. The G7 Fly is flat out sick looking. As long as its as fast as my dart throwin', kid mowin' G7, I will be stoked. Its funny how a lot of people down play something new...is it because they don't have the money for the new gun or (whatever) or because they don't like change. Hey...Why Wudn' Ya?
