I recently just purchased a used 05 Speed from a paintball outfit in VA. When I got the gat, I hooked up air and balls but it wouldn't fire.

I have done the following:
1) Changed battery
2) Checked trigger settings and checked to make sure that wasn't an issue. I turned off eyes and made sure I got a trigger pull and release via lights.
3) Tried several asa's to make sure the gat was getting air. I know the gun is getting air because when I connect the air the ram cocks.
4) I took my voltage reader and checked the connections on the board that go to the solenoid. I get a signal with every pull (eyes off).
5) I checked the connections on top of the noid and getting signals with each trigger pull.

I think I got a bum noid or am I'm missing something?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Was it by chance Action Town Sports in Chesapeake? Just a guess, they're a big seller. if it is them, take it back. They will make it right.

if your troubleshooting indicated above reveals it's not the trigger and based on your #2 above, it looks like the trigger is working, I'm inclined to agree with you on the solenoid.

It is Action Town out of Smithfield, VA. Talked ot Bobby, real nice guy, and I'm sending it back to him and he is going to about getting the marker running. :)

I was just trying to figure it out without having to mess with sending it back.

Thanks!

my experience with action town is they want two things from you:

1. Your word-of-mouth advertising that will bring them other customers
2. You to be happy with them so you will come back and buy again.

You don't find a lot of folks like that in business. Take advantage of it.

chances are that it was in demo mode. mine was and it wouldn't actually fire balls.. not really sure though but if you've already sent it back opefully it works out for you

No it wasn't in demo mode. That was the first thing I checked. I went through everything.

I do think I traced it down to the noid. I took my volt meter and tested the connections that go from the board to the noid. Both the board and the noid connections show voltage (signal) being sent with every trigger pull. Then I ran ohms and it pegged my ohm meter which indicates a break or open circuit. Which leads me to believe there is a break in the circuit somewhere within the noid.
