Hi all,
I had some bad paint break in my marker and I think it got into the eye. What would be the best way to remove the eye and clean it out?

Thanks!!

Small allen wrench, blunt end of a small drill bit, or a piece of stiff metal wire is what I use.

The only way to clean the eyes is to remove the screws that hold the covers on the side of the gun. The eye ribbons are right under there and should come out of the holes by a slight tug on the eye ribbon. Wipe out the holes with a q-tip really well and use something soft to wipe the eyes off too. Then put everything back together the same you took it apart being careful not to overtighten the screws or it may cause the eyes to malfunction. Run an eye test after you put it back together just to make sure they are working properly.

NOOOO! Don't pull on the ribbon! Always push the eyes out through the body!

Ahh idk man, I have the eye conversion so i never had to push or pull anything, they just come right out as soon as i take the covers off. IDK

For quick cleaning of the eyes I use a spraycan with compressed air. You can buy it anywhere cameras are sold. They are intended to blow away dust from camera-lenses. Works great!

I used a match end,i rounded it so it was nice and blunt and poped them out, from the inside, one is allways in tighter then the other,so dont be scared to give them a good push, As for cleaning,i use a drop of toothpaste inside my barrel, and give it a hard polish, someone told me toothpaste, and i was curious, and when finshed it gives the accuracy a boost...you have to polish a few good times but works fantastic...

I prefer using mothers mag wheel polish followed by several coats of rainex. In order to get a uniform finish I use a shotgun cleaning rod and a shotgun cleaning swab attached to a drill. One swab only used for the mag polish, a second one for cleaning the polish off and a third one for the rainex. It's kind of messy but it works like a dream.

Wait a minute, all I want to do is clean out the paint between the eyes because of balls breaking within that area. And I'm using toothpaste to clean that out??? :hitit: :hitit: :drink: :drink:
