Since Ive seen a few post about this here is a pic of the order of a cigarette adaptor for the Angel charger if yours happens to come apart or if you need to change the fuses and don't remember the order.

trim ring, tip, fuse and spring from front to back of course.
Hope this helps,
Hep

Nice job HEP, if i was a mod i'd sticky this thing. that fuse will go and if you own an angel you have to charge it with that charger.

hey is that any specific type of fuse? Is it something that might ever have to be replaced?

I'm not a fuse expert, but I'm pretty sure it is something you can easily replace. I think it is a standard size and type fuse.

Actuially it's a 250-Volt - 1 1/4 x 1 1/4" Fuse. I had to have mine replaced and that's what the dude at radio shack gave me. Usu. it wont have to be replaced until it burns out. It's kind of like a light bulb, in that sort of sence.

Duracell I think you mean 1.25 amps I dont have my charger in front of me now buts its the amperage that makes the most difference. Too high and it wont protect the charger correctly. Tried to word this without everyone needing a degree in electronics.

wow, mine read 2-Amp. Would that be considered too high?

After looking at mine in which I have never changed the fuse since I got the marker new in the box it is a 2 amp fuse.

Hal you might want to have an extra fuse handy (btw its a 2 amp AGC style and not a slow blow) but its not gonna burn out like a light bulb. Light bulb is not a direct comparision. If that was the case then wouldnt your car stop running or other features of you vehicle stop after the fuses burnt out in them? Big Misconsecption. Fuses only go bad/blow when they are trying to pass their rated current demands. Like before Im trying to keep this simple as possible.

Hope this helps,
Hep

Edit: and yes you can get this fuse at any car parts store or Radio Shack for cheap.

Fuse: A safety device that protects an electric circuit from excessive current, consisting of or containing a metal element that melts when current exceeds a specific amperage, thereby opening the circuit.

Being an electronics tech (navy) and an electriction by trade, I'll say this. The fuse is ment to protect your charger and the gun from over current. I haven't checked my IR3's fuse size so I don't know the rating. But if have to replace it first check your Cigarette Charger Adaptor, the cords and the plugs for any physical damage first. If you can't see any dammage then do what alot of techs call a smell check on your charger box (between the cigarette adaptor and the gun plug end) if it smells like something has burned then most likely it's bad. if all seems good then plug it back into the cigarette lighter outlet or acc charging outlet (newer cars). If it blow's another fuse the charger is bad and should be replaced.

I hope I kept it as simple as I could....

what happens if i use one of my old LCD angel chargers on my angel 4 fly board (flied angel 4) ?? the wires on my charger (going from the cord to the angel plug in) snapped and i dont have a soldering iron to fix it...

The LCD charger won't work on the A4 or Fly. Two differnt voltages, I do know that using a A4/Fly charger will fry a LCD/IR3/Speed but the other way around (LCD/IR3/Speed) on a A4 or Fly gun or board probably won't work. The charging system on the Fly board most likely won't go into charge mode due to the voltage being lower then it's expecting. And as far as not having a soldering iron to fix it right....... Better to spend the $10-$15 for a soldering iron at Radio Shack or another supplier then to order another Fly board and or battery. You'll spend alot less ;) If you don't know how to solder it then 10 to 1 you know someone that can..... Take the time and do it right!

well i was stupid today ..i plugged it in ..and it worked but i got scared of it frying so i took it out ..charged 1/4 of the battery in 30 seconds...ill go to RS and buy one..i have lots of junk wires i can practice on before i mess with my charger..

I ordered a charger off of www.firstcallpaintball.com because I have been needing one since I received my gun in a trade without one. Well on the back of it, they have a sticker that says that it will work for LCD/Speed/A4/Fly. I used it on my A4 and no problems. I'm not sure if the LCD claim is true, but thats what it says. Could this be right?

i thought that an a4/fly charger will charge all current angels but older can't charge newer

Well if your in luck you can poke around some garage sales and find maybe a cord for a car charger (phone) of something like that and maybe the tip will work on yours. other then someone on here having an extra you can buy the tip from an electronics supplier (radio shack) and take your old one apart and replace it with a new one. Some solidering maybe required to do this but once you do you'll always have an outlet for replacing your tip and fuse spring if you loose it again. Good luck.

As far as that charger being the correct one to charge all those including the LCD? Naw I doubt it. It and the IR3's used the older battieries that were less voltage.

with mine, i just take a standard car battery, and clip the positive on the side, and negative on top of the cigarrette plug. (maybe its the other way around, i check picture when i do it)
