Broken angels

I just got my NEW TO ME 05 speed in, i bought it used from a guy through the internet. He seemed like he was knowlegeable and a good guy but apparently he didnt know how to set up an angel. I got it home, put a tank that came with the gun on it, fired a hopper through it and SNAP ! ! ! the ram breaks clear through the shaft near the tip... i was pissed now i might not get to play on friday. ill try to get some pics in tomarrow so you call can OHH in disbeleif of the broken angel ram.

well, if the ram broke there's probably some adjusting you need to do before you replace the ram otherwise you may break another one... Might not count on playing this Friday.

Did the ram break or did the hammer fall off [they are threaded on]?

Need a physics major to calculate how much force is required to break a ram. It's small enough diameter but still, it's steel....

from at least one of the pics, it looks like there is some blemishes along the shaft before it broke. Can you tell what happened there?

its probably just the picture, i took them with my camera phone becuase im just a poor college paintballer (who graduates in 5 weeks) SCORE !!!!! oh .. but anyways the shaft is in perfect condition, the treads are a little messed up, im thinking it broke becuase the previous owner had the LPR presure set at to high of a rate, i only had the chance to shot about 1 hopper of paint through it befor it when out on me the new ram shoud be in tomarrow and one of the local angel techs is installing it and setting the LPR and dwell for me
