View Full Version : Eye does not work....

Like title says.. My g7 will not fire with eye on.
WTF. It is 2 weeks old... Last week when I played with my new g7 it was working fine.
Today at the field, It fire every 2~3 seconds with eye on.
I cleaned eye for make sure, and check eye connection. I think it was fine because of I can see red beem from eye system. I did eye test. Lcd screen says "dropb" so I put paintball into breech. Nothing. Lcd keep telling me "dropb". What it will be cause of? Is my eye is bad or board it self? I need help please!!!!!

I'm speechless. Never had that problem before. I'm thinking its a problem with your board.

its the board, you probably got the older software versions. but still, you should talk to ken or bob moon, theyll know what to do.

ya know, my g7 has been having the same problem??? the eye glows from only one side, is that how it is supposed to be?

yes it is supposed to be from the one side....one side sends the light the other receives it

Maybe try poping the eyes out,(CAREFULL) read manual!! and giving them a clean,may just be dirty!!! :notsure:

WOW! Thanks Captian Obvious! I did read the manual, I was just cross referencing with others, and yeah they are clean. They just dont seem to "see" through much dirt or paint at all like I thought they were supposed to be. Thats all.

Well that was first thing I did when it happen..
I just got pm from Ken and he said "sounds like the eye ribbon may have failed" I think I have to send it to one of master tech.

Well just for being so much like a child,i hope the thing falls apart, next time you ask WTF its 2weeks old, take it back you stupid Wan@*" to the shop...children should not play with a MAN's paintball gun (CHILD)!!! :321: :ups: :321:

hay i have been having the same problem but my gun is about 5 1/2 mounth old. my problem started a week ago. my eyes in some days work and in other days it does not detect anything it very strange. can you pleace tell me what you did.

silver, i think i'm having the same problem so here's what i did, i ordered a new pair of eyes, and i'll see if that fixes it. if not then i'll know its the board, in any case, i ordered the new tadao board, so then i'll have the old and new eyes to try with the tadao. that will tell for sure if its the board or the eyes. the board is still under warrantee so you can always sent it in to a master tech to have it serviced. more to come....

ok heres an update, after consulting with bob from fma it was either the eye or the board. since the eyes aren't covered under warrantee, i decided to order a new pair of laser eyes and give it a try, worst case i'll have 2 pair of eyes and a bad board thats still under warrantee. so....bottomline, it was the eyes. put in the new eyes and i could rip again. i'm planning to send bob at fma my old eyes since he said he could tell if it was a defect or not. so, to solve your problem silverjoker and others, GET SOME NEW EYES.
