G7 Volumizers

I remember reading somewhere that volumizers won't work with the G7. Does anyone know if this is accurate?

My understanding is that they work, but don't really add anything. The design of the G7 has basically been set up to elliminate the need for a volumizer. Hopefully one of our more educated (and technically apt) members can confirm this, or will at least be gentle when they smack me down. :cheers:

I had one on my dust black G7. I didn't notice a difference in performance but I did like the way it looked

You just need a small part to keep the G7's valve stem in place. WDP has not released a part yet so I had one made myself.

That's not the one you made for me, it's a different one, correct?They are now made from stainless steel rather than the aluminum. They are much stronger now. The aluminum one that I was using started to bend too easily.

Well if you like the looks of it on your G7 you can put it on the LPR side, won't hurt anything.

cool, if you are looking down the barrel, put it on the right side (LPR side).

I'm using it (thanks Trig). I like the look of the dual volumizers.
