View Full Version : Strange Trigger Noise

For the first time I adjusted my trigger the other day. I had some troubles at first, I over adjusted the vernier wheels, not by much, but so one of the indents on the wheel was not visible by a tiny bit. I read in the manual this is bad, the result was the solenoid would not activate...to remedy the situation I turned the marker on and adjusted the wheels till they were turned to a point where the solenoid could activate, from there I tuned the trigger the way I wanted it, thing feels really good, not to tight, but just right. So the gun works, the solenoid activates and clicks accordingly, but when I walk the trigger I hear a new noise, its sort of springy, or a light twangy noise. Maybe it is just because I havn't adjusted the trigger before? Or did I mess something up?

The dude down at horrowshow use to tell me that the people who owned angels and now hate them are the people who messed with their guns and f'ed them up.

Thats normal man. Its the magnets doing their ways on the trigger itself.

Ken Crane has posted this before, hope it helps regarding adjusting the trigger:

first remove the rear magnet. then set the trigger to the rear get it to the point where you like the feel and you hear a funny vibrating noise when you try and walk the trigger. at the point lock the set set screws in place EVENLY.
then set the toe. note be careful not to set the toe too far as the arm that works the trigger will hit the eye socket and drag.

Thanks. I was just curious what the rest of Ken's discussion was. It sounds as if he is saying remove the rear magnet and never discusses putting it back in. Is he saying leave the magnet out?
