Let see how can i explain,,, I go every sunday from 10:00 am til 4:00pm play at least 8 or 9 games plus letting others try how my speed works. on a duracel it's at least 2.5 to 3 days of play. I noticed tha when it's in low voltage it dumps realy fast. Do like i did, get rechargable.

i find it odd that some of you guys have to replace your batteries every two or three cases. ive only had my speed for about a week, but ive gone through about 3 1/2 cases w/ the battery it came w/ as well and im still showing six leds. i also like to play w/ my speed in my room by just deactivating the eyes and hearing the selonoid click. this thing is addictive...

Beware of just using the lights to tell you battery status.

The lights will indicate a higher state of charge than the battery actually has if you check the lights under no load. By 'under no load' I mean if you just turn your marker on and check the lights, you'll get a false high indication of battery status. if you take the marker out and shoot paint through it and then check your battery, you'll get a more accurate indication of battery life remaing.

I hate to state the obvious however I have seen this time and time again, Dollar Store batteries suck in anything you could use them in. I like most others get several months and a dozen or two cases of paint per battery because I splurge on the $4 batteries.

yea if you use for instance the E2 titanium energizer batt's you will be fine like $8.+ for two. Same for the rest of life, you get what you pay for.

i got 3+cases and the leds don't indicate ANY loss of battery power... same with other members of my team..

how low on the led indicator can it go before you have to change the battery...?

like el pirata said the cheaper the battery the less time it will last.. a dollar store battery lasts like 1000 but get a good one and it will be like 4 cases

does that mean an energizer (for example) from the dollar store is a low-end variant of an energizer from Radio Shack?

I'm skeptical.

doesn't wdp say that the 05 speed gets 200 % more shots that other guns, that would seem to say that your short battery live is not normal
