I have an a4 fly that is covered by a mastertech warranty. I sent it off, forked over $200 and from my understanding, a master tech warranty covers FREE software upgrades. So why do i have to still pay $25 to get my board flashed? Also is there anything newer than 4.0 for the a4 fly. Thanks.

Probable be much easier for you to contact the company you purchased the marker from and ask them directly. As far as the software, 4:1 is the latest.

...the best thing to do is validate your warranty details, which should be specified on the website of the specific person/shop you purchased the warranty from. The A4 Fly's only come with the WDP 6 month factory warranty, some MT's / stores may offer an 'extended warranty', but the specifics of what is covered will vary by who offers such 'service', as detailed in the warrantys fine print.

The MT Angel Force Fly comes with the MT lifetime warranty, and the details of that warranty iare spelled out explicitly on any of the MT sites. This MT warranty differs from the WDP f6 month actory warranty and applies to the 'original purchaser', although if you buy a used Force Fly from someone, you can 'transfer' the warranty from the original owner to the new owner for a fee, see the MT sites for details.

I would imagine when you were coordinating sending your marker in for work, the work to be performed and the costs were all discussed/known beforehand, if not, discuss it with whoever performed the work and see what compromise can be agreed upon.

Any response you get on this forum should be taken with a grain of salt, as this is a 'business matter' between you and whoever did the work for you....unless the person that did the work posts to this thread, all others will be basically 'heresay' and 'opinion'....

..don't take this as a flame, it isn't meant to be one, just a suggestion to clarify and validate what you believe your warranty details with the person/shop you purchased it from...

Good luck..

The software has an update cost of 25.00 plus return shipping. It is necessary to charge for this as it was very expensive to have this code written. This is above and beyond any normal “upgrade” that we provide for free.

I originally bought the gun new from a local shop. It was just a standard wdp marker, not angel force. However i sent it off to one of the master techs (angelparts.com i believe) and for $200 I was given an "angel force warranty" as was discussed between myself and one of the techs over the phone. That was last January. Later on, I have a friend take my marker to one of the psp events to get the boared flashed. It comes back flashed, and working properly (excpet for the whole cfoa thing, which im still trying to grasp) however he said that it cost 25 even though he explained to the tech that it was covered under the angel force warranty. I dont know if it was because I was not present or because of the specific software that had to be upgraded. Im really just not understaning what good this warranty is other than having my gun sent off to get cleaned and tuned up once a year. Also, does the 4.1 software have an approved cfoa mode with ramping and if so, how much will that upgrade be if i currently have 4.0?

Why would flashing your board be covered by a warranty, its additional service. If you have an MT warranty and you've had your board flashed and it craps out on you, that would be covered, but not the software upgrade itself. Right?

ok i understand now. what i would suggest you do is call eric or sean at angelparts as the warranty was purchaced thru them and not a angelforce warranty. we sell an angelforce warranty to a second owner of a force gun if the new owner wants to extend it.if you buy an angel force gun we give you free upgrades on anysoftware. if you want to purchace the psp/cfoa upgrade that is different.4.0 and 4.1 both have a psp/cfoa approved version of this software. 4.1 is a modified version of 4.0 to adapt the changing rules
