New one I haven't read about! HELP?!

Hey gang....here's a new one! Loaned my gun out...probably mistake number one....and got it back with a leak. Air leaked when first aired up the gun and the leak would stop after a couple of shots. Sounded like it was coming from the ram area so, per the manual, I adjusted the ram....BINGO, leak is gone. But now...the darned gun makes a 'Ping' sound when firing....any ideas what would cause this? I do know that a buddy shooting an Angel Force Fly makes the same 'Ping' sound when he fires. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help.

mine "pings" too... haven't been able to figure it out... but it still seems to shoot fine, so i don't really worry about it.

it may be the metal part of the bolt is hitting on the metal in front of it everytime it fires...look to see if there is any wear in that area...if so that's what it is.

Possibly the ram set too far forward letting the bolt pin smack the body. Who knows, just check your parts to make sure no bad wear is going on. You might be able to get rid of this "ping" by adjusting the ram back just a bit, this wont let the bolt move forward as far.

Well my friends angel did the same thing. I put the dwell up a little bit and that cured the problem for him.
