Alright, so I bought my G7, which turns out to be one of the original ones, without the tpr grips on the back (which I sent an email to ken for, saw the thread about that). Now I'm wondering what the next step is?
• I have a Halo B with Ripdrive, and am considering intellifeeding it, is this a good way to go? I want zero misfeeds or chops. Intellifeed should be better than stock halo b, right? Why is it when I talk to players (refs mainly) at some fields they give me §§§§ when I refer to possibly Intellifeeding it...???
• Barrel... I have the stock barrel that came with the G7, from other G7 owners out there - is this the kind of barrel you should look to replace? In all honesty, I haven't shot bore-matched paint through the barrel (which, BTW, what is the bore on the stock barrel?) so I couldn't give you an honest review of the stock barrel. I would say from my experiences with the G7 so far, I would replace it with a Stiffi. All the paint I have shot so far through the gun has been smaller, and rolls out the barrel when I test it. Don't know :puzzled:
• Other performance tweaking/upgrades needed? All I'm looking for is a fast rate of fire that wont blow paint chunks when I get ripping on it fast. I don't need crazy 31bps fire, but definetly 20-24 max (there are some times when I get going on it really fast). I was doing 16 (or was it 14?) bps without breaking a sweat, stock trigger on semi Mode 1.
• Removing the back magnet? I'm a total angel newbie . However, I've learned so much just the past week or so from reading here on the forums. I can figure out how to remove the magnets, but do we remove the back or front magnet? I have read conflicting reports of both. I just want the trigger lighter than it currently is, but not so light that I have trouble with it on the field (not returning back to start position, etc).
• Anything else? Any help is apperciated, I want to non-virginize this G7...
Thanks everyone
From my (2 whole months) of experience with mine-
-I have the intellifeed and have not chopped a ball yet. On the downside I have had several times that I have shot the hopper dry and had to rip drive it to get the next pod started.
-I've got a Freak and I love it.
-None yet, but I am looking forward to the Tadow board and the MT trigger.
-It's easy to do, and it will let you rip. The downside for me was that I couldn't get rid of the bounce. I wound up putting the magnet back in, and it still rips, but is a bit slower and has a different feel.
-Listen for some fool to say "Angels Suck", then show him the light.

If you are interested in intellifeed, check w/ Jim at Impact. He does a mod that has a prime button. So if you run dry, just tap that button, rather than try to spin the rip!

I am not sure, I don't have the electrical knowhow to advise you. PM jim@impactpaintball!
I really like it. I got used to it. I just played in a tourny w/ a regualr HALOB w/ the rip. I ran out and only realized it when I saw someone. By the time I went to push my button, then rip the drive, he saw me and got me!! ;(

Okay, thanks fellas for all the good suggestions. I'll look at finding/contacting Jim about how he does his intellifeed w/button mod. It sounds like all good comments from an intellifeed setup, so I will attempt that next. I'll take a good look at doing the magnet mod on the back wheel too. And it seems like most of you are running a 3rd party barrel, so I'll grab a stiffi next :).
Are there any other solid upgrades/tweaks I can do to improve performance right now?

I was always told to remove the back magnet. I did that to mine..and I love it. its alot looser, not as stiff, and, I havent' had any problems with bounce. One of my teamates does though, a...he has a SLIGHT touch of bounce...we played a tourney, he asked a ref to shoot it to make sure it was legal. the ref said it had a touch, but not enough to make a difference. Difference is, he made some Toe adjustments(that little screw thats actaully IN the trigger...) He likes his alot closer then I do, I like to have a little space. So, I think as long as you don't adjust that too much...you should be fine. At least in my experience.
As far as intellifeed, I have no clue. Don't have it...but im interested in it. Just waiting for someone to do it w/o it looking so ghetto...:P
Have fun w/ your G7, I absolutley LOVE(<3<3<3<3) mine.......

Ya know, don't take me wrong here but if you are uncertain what to do to your G-7 maybe you ought to rethink whether you need to do anything to your G-7. Straight out of the box they rock and roll. The only possible exception might be a new barrel or a barrel kit if you are having problems with your brand of paint fitting the stock barrel.

Thanks everyone
From my experience, iHalos are too much trouble. Just buy the TAG Cheetah board.
Get a Lucky 15 barrel. Its what I use, and it is THE most accurate barrel I have ever shot, and I have shot everything.
Get a clmaping feedneck, I highly reccomend the Hybrid feednecks.
Definately remove the back magnet, makes the pull so much smoother.
Sex it? :boobies:

Haha, awesome guys. Thanks for all the replies. I'll be buying a new barrel or barrel set soon here, just shopping around a bit. And magnet comes out when I get some free hours soon.
Thank you all :)
