You are using HPA, right?

The tank is HPA anyways, even a LP air tank is HPA. The gun, ASA, barrell et all will get cold because of the expansion of the air, expansion is an endothemic reaction meaning it "(Is) Characterized by or causing the absorption of heat;" (http://www.answers.com/). So basically the air ebsorbs the nearby heat(reads energy) making everything around it colder so it can expand.

A great example of this is the jet powered beer cooler, endothermic reaction at its best http://asciimation.co.nz/beer/

so in short, it's not a problem, as much as chemistry.

I don't know if it's even possible to connect a carbon dioxide tank to an angel but because of the properties of CO2 compated to air (or nitrogen) it gets a lot colder during the expansion. That's why I was wondering if you're sure you're using air instead of CO2.

c02 and CA tanks ahve the same threads, dosnt matter anyway because your on\off threads are all the matter.

On a side note.

I work at a feild, we fill c02 and Compressed Air.
Its impossible to get c02 into a tank with a CA reg.

c02 is filled by pushing down the pin and pushing into the tank.
But CA regs arnt desinged like that, the only way something can get into the tank is through teh fill nipple.
