What is the main goal/ what does the board do??

it's an aftermarket board, so it has all kinds of fun modes... also, it has a microswitch instead of an optoswitch

what is the difference between the micro switch and the optoswitch. I thought the optoswitch was better.

its just the feel
and you can get the opto switch shorter in pull...but not really worth it

yeah, really it's all just the feel of it. personal preference. i really like the feel of my friend's Timmy, so i'm going to try this and see if i like it, if not, i'll go back to my euro board.
the essential difference in the operation of the two is that an Optoswitch is breaking a light beam, and the Microswitch is pushing a button

and i'm assuming the intellifeed signal is linked to the solenoid signal so that an intellifeed hopper will ramp and feed properly along with ramp modes... right? (as opposed to just reacting to trigger pulls, cuz that would be dumb!)

Would it be a problem with intellifeed if my Halo B has the new cheetah board?
welted

if you have a cheetah board, you won't be using intellifeed. intellifeed negates the need for a board because it signals the hopper when to spin (which is the function of a board).

Im happy thats its got intellifeed I might have to get that bord
Just so I am 100% sure. My G7 has intellifeed now. When I get my Tadeo I will just be able to plug my existing feed wire right into the board and go, without any other work to get the intellifeed running, correct?

Let's ask the resident expert (lol) Trigga????
Sparco
11-20-2005, 08:24 PM
That is correct. There are intellifeed dwell settings which are explained in the manual. However, from my experience with the default setting that's more than adequate.
As there are other people on the forums who have used the board.

Is that what the ABS dwell is???
I just don't see a setting that let me tell the board when to tell the hopper to spin???

I just don't see a setting that let me tell the board when to tell the hopper to spin???ABS dwell is the Anti-Bolt Stick. It is there to stop first shot drop off (FSDO). I haven't used the board with intellifeed so I can't help you there yet but I know that it does support intellifeed.

Whoever posted the manual has posted the incomplete copy as it lacks the intellifeed dwell settings as well as a few additional comments. The manual is still being worked on, just the skeleton was made available. So hopefully there's no misinformation.
ABS as mentioned (Anti-bolt stick) and unless you have serious LPR issues should remain at default. The board is built of the THump code so some of the features that are included are more designed towards the matrix platform.

Ken posted the original copy of the instructions to give everyone a preview of what the board had. As soon as the finalized version is out, I'd love to see it.

I just emailed Will from Tadao. This is what he suggests.....
"The intellifeed setting gives multiples of 20 ms to run the intellifeed signal. A setting of 1 is off, while 2 is 20 ms, 3 is 40 ms, etc. Beware that this line is only a signal that is used to trip a relay. It cannot power the loader."
Hopes this helps!

As with standard engineering releases, several HW and SW revisions (Each manufacturer has their own acronyms for design levels) exist. I believe the HW is finalized from an EDU state for production release. The SW and documentation a bit behind because they can tweak parameters based on “Beta Testing (or as I call it “User Acceptance Testing”)” received by pros and other feedback mechanisms. The manual is a prime example of this, and by the sounds of it, will be near flawless when completed. Maybe someone closer to the design and release can comment on this further……
