taking hits on the trigger = bouncy/ramping?

I was in a tourney this past sunday and my 5peed takes a hit on/in the trigger. After the game, I wipe it up and get ready for the next game...I didn't really notice...but I got pulled + 1 for having a ramping/bouncing 5speed. They had 6 refs checking my gun and they all said it was ramp mode. I told the refs I don't need to cheat with a ramping/bouncing guns and I don't have ramping software on my 5speed v3. It is on TR 1 with the trigger set at medium.


I was pissed...to have to replace it for a black magic cocker.

Is there a chance that the paint shorted something where it made the trigger more responsive and bouncy? Or could the little kick when ripping be mistaken for bounce.

I think TR1 is minimal filtering, so it would bounce.

Still, we've all been screwed by refs at some point. I think unless it's obvious, bounce is very hard to detect.

Open your speed up and clean out the board, then check it.

Haveing paint and shell in the trigger @ switch will change its firing characteristics

tr1 means 0 bounce, refs are just angel haters, i get mine checked all the time, next time take it to the head ref and mage a HUGE deal of it, and they will get off ur case

The head ref was the sixth ref to check it...it took nearly an hour before I could get my angel back and the decision was I could not use it the rest of the day. It sucks 4real, since there were ego's and shockers out there going bbbrrrrrrrr bbbrrrrrrrr with just one finger on the trigger and they said... I had the combo gun.

well, I am going to clean and check it again. I don't want that to happen again...kinda let down my team since they pulled me and the next closes person (both of us back players).

got my gun checked for ramp/bounce this past sunday, and got pulled 1 for 1. I had the tr at 5 though, so i turned it down to 1 had them recheck it and everything was just dandy, got to use my gun for the rest of the day

if it takes 6 people and an hour to check out someones marker, I highly doubt it was bouncing, they just didn't want to be proved wrong, and ego's bounce like a mother, we had a guy with an ego forced to change his settings it was so bad (sounded like ramping)

i got a story for ya!!!! My team uses nothing but angels and we went to ocean city Md beach attack tourny. We were the only team with angels there, every time at the crono they would check the gun for a bounce when it was obvious there was none. The refs would take one person form the team and say theres a bounce go fix it and bring it back. So we walked out of the crono spot and we walked back in with out touching the trigger or the settings at all and the ref would test the gun and say thats better you can play now. So refs are really angel HATERS! All angel owners go through this crap. Its the price we pay for using the best marker in the world.

wowee! didn't know that it's like that for alot of angel owners. thanks for all the input aog'ers. I cleaned the entire trigger area and wiped/dried the paint off the board. It is on TR1, with no bounce & still the mowing machine of the world...

last tourney my team was on, on of our players got banned because the refs meant he had ramping on his 05. and he was caught 3 times :P but he had no ramping and he used 3 differents guns (all 05) so yeah the refs hates angels.....

I hear ya on the angel haters... every tourny i was at all i hear is CHECK THAT ANGEL!! after a game. my friends flyd speed was penalized for having a pressure spike. the field also had to change their rules to NO RAMPING because one game that flyd speed hit 28 bps....all over a kid.

For those of you not from TX, I was at Bunkerfest 3 in San Antonio watching Arsenal and the Philly AA go at it for the Open Division. The refs went through like 2 hoppers to figure out if one of the Arsenal guys was ramping with the brand new out of the box that weekend G7's. They said it was ramping, but it was not, the guy just shots fast. I think all of the refs are jealous of us Angel Owners and they just want to shot them and not have to pay for the paint. This episode caused alot of BS. Maybe the refs need to start checking other guns out there.

around where I am, the only guns ref's have bias against are cockers... the only reason they caught my angel is thru a random check that they do now and then
