hello!
could anyone thats having trouble with there soleniod or not getting there gun to fire post here! I've had a frusturating problem. my setings are all factory fast and sensi is off. when i hook up the air to it and get enough pressure out of my reg i get a small "pop" by the back or the gun in the vicintiy of the soleniod! i have tried a ton of things so if anyone has had this problem or simalar feel free to post and hopefully some Angel savvy people can help us out! thanks
What are your pressures set at?
Have you checked your manifold and gasket for proper placement?
Does the angel have a fresh charger?
Does the marker fire if the breech is open?

This is Halo2masta's dad. The guys at the shop are stumped so I'm going to jump in and give it a try. I'm a Cocker guy so bear with me.
As stated above, the gun only "pops" when the trigger is pulled. I'd describe the sound as a "putt" (if that makes any sense). I had the solenoid out yesterday and partially dissaembled it to see if something was sticking inside. Didn't find anything obvious. The "putt" sound is definitely coming from the rear half of the solenoid. I can plainly hear it and can even feel the vibration there. It seems as if the problem lies here but I'm not sure.
To answer your questions:
-I tried the gun between 300 and 500 psi to no avail. It's now set at 400psi. I'm not sure what the ideal operating pressure is for this gun.
-By manifold do you mean solenoid? If so, I went and checked it and found that the gasket appeared to be on backwards (or upside down, whichever makes sense). I got excited and flipped it over, installed it and gassed it up. No change. Still just a "putt" sound!
-The charge is full
-Does not operate with the breach open either
Please keep sending suggestions. He's had it since January and only played with it twice. It's constantly in the shop (although they can be pretty slow with their service). I think if there was a Lemon Law for paintball guns, this one is getting close to qualifying! Anyway, thanks for the help and I look forward to your next post.

Dean....save yourself some aggrevation and quite possibly 'playing time' by sending it in to one of the MT's listed above. I know many will think that is 'extreme' to send it in, but in the long (and short) run, it is the best way to go. Once there, the MT can determine EXACTLY what is wrong and fix it so the continuing problem ends...period.

The Angel techs already told the guys at our shop that they would have to charge them to repair the gun if we send it in. We have a lifetime warranty on the gun (from our local shop) so if something has failed, we're covered. I'm real hesitant to send it in without knowing roughly what it will cost. I am hoping that between my local tech, myself and this site we can get it repaired (and learn more about the gun in the process).
BTW I'm logged in under my own screen name-this is still halo2masta's dad talking
I had a real similar problem a few weeks ago. The colprut was a small shaving had got inside the solenoid and was preventing any movement. I dont really recommend doing this yourself unless your pretty confident at your experience working with small ojects but it required totally taking apart the solenoid to fix the problem.

I already took the front half of the solenoid apart looking for something like you described but didn't find anything (I've taken my ebladed cocker solenoid apart before). The valve moved relatively freely. Seemed like it could use a little grease though. The problem, to me, still seems like it's coming from the back half of the solenoid. Does this come apart?
I've been reading some other posts on this site and I'm beginning to wonder if it could be a pressure problem. Like I said, the solenoid "putts" but doesn't push forward to activate the 4 way (14 way?) valve. If the incoming pressure somehow got screwed up and is now too low, would the solenoid act this way?
Keep the suggestions coming. All are appreciated?
Yes you can totally remove the stem (has the orings on it) and the peice that stopped mine from moving was so minute I overlooked it the first time. Doest take much to stop the movement and I also re-greased mine before re-installing everything.
