View Full Version : HALO B. What's it like?
Hey guys
I've a VL Revolution on my A-LCD, but sometimes for long paint streams it feels a bit slow.
Now i'm looking into the HALO B.
Any1 been using it? Is it too heavy (unbalances the gun)? Too bulky?
Sum feedback please

when i used the halo b i did not think it was heavy at all. i actually thought that it balanced my gun more than anything. as for the speed, it is the fastest loader out there besides the evo2(i think). i didnt really have a chance to test its speed but it kept up with my 13bps no problem so. i would recommend either the halo or the evo2. i have the evo2 right now and i think it is a really good loader. also the evo2 is set back to eliminate angels on you so that helps. if it were me i would get the evo2 but i say that just because i have it and love it.

My HALO B feeds fast as hell. I have my MROF set at 20, keeps up just fine. Only problems I had were a couple of double feeds yesterday, but that happened twice in the first 10 shots, then went away for the rest of the day. I'm happy with it. Oh yeah, on weight, I guess it is kinda heavy, but I don't notice it until I'm walking off the field at the end of the day, it balances pretty good.

I have a smoke Halo B. It's very good looking and well made. It's smooth and fast. It's definitely a big upgrade from my 12v Revvy. I've had no problems. I really recommend it.
BTW, I got mine for $110 shipped, from a dealer on Ebay. I didn't win it on Ebay. I just e-mailed the dealer and made him an offer. A lot of dealers will do this, because they don't have to pay the Ebay listing fee or wait for the auction to end. Try it, but make sure he's a reputable dealer, because you won't have Ebay's scamming protection if you buy it "under the table".

I've heard nothing but praise from the guys here in Texas that use the Halo B. Some people I know bought Halo A's when they came out, and sent them back when the upgrades for the B were released, and are even more so pleased now than they were before. So from what I've gathered, they are pretty darned good. I'm hoping that Odyssy (major spelling error) will have a booth at Cup so that I can find one that matches the colors of my angel good.

I had the original Halo and it sat in my bag for 8months because it would pop paintballs inside the hopper. When the "B" upgrade came out I sent it in and had a nice smoke shell and the "B" upgrade done to it. The hopper absolutely rocks now. It will be a bit heavier than an evo or VL but if you put lithium batteries in it it's not that bad. The weight for performance trade is worth it. The hopper is fast. I haven't chopped one ball since I put it back on my Angel. You cannot out shoot it in semi. I have tried. You lean the gun on it's side and the hopper will still feed. Try that with your VL. The hopper is silent. Sometimes I wonder if I forgot to turn it on. I did experience a few more hopper hits at first. The profile is about the same as a VL but it is a bit bulkier head on. Basically, I learned to be a better snap shooter and most hopper hits I get now would have hit me in the bean anyway.
