Hey all,
Im new to the forum and angel user group. I just purchased my first, used ir3. I know ir3's like high pressure, but should I go for a 4500 or 3000 tank? I have read a few posts that say when your using a pre-set 4500 with the inline reg it will be a challenge to get your fps below 290. The gun is pretty much stock. any suggestions?
Thanks

4500..........why buy 3000when 4500 is almost/same price.........3000/4500 makes no difference on the inline reg.........i've run one onmy ir3 with no problemo....

Yea the pressure the tank can accept and what the reg can accept have no bearing on the velocity of the marker. What will matter when dealing with a preset tank is the output pressure. Most regs are at 800psi... and LP(Low Pressure) preset reg isusually around 400 or so..I could be wrong might be lower. The IR3 preffers an input of 800 psi into the gun and then the mini reg takes the pressure down to around 500 psi. The 3000 or 4500 is just referring to the PSI pressure the tank can take. Now you also have to make sure the reg can handle the amount of pressure the tank can. If you have a 4500psi tank and your regulator is only rated for 3000psi then you dont fill the tank to 4500 psi cause your regulator will blow a burst disk.
