wtf......... i hate my local stores they make u pay for air and tax it!!!!!! wtf wtf i live in colorado in littleon and my local stores are pro star labs and dynamic they freekin charge for air and it is not like they have filling equimpment to pay off. it should a dollar and thats pushin it!!!!! :pisss:

... alot of places make you pay for air. The field i work at Charges 5 dollars for all day air. Do you think they dont have bills to pay and such. If they have a compressor, those things suck alot of electricity. So, why complain?

dude they gotta pay electric bills to cover the comprssors they got runnin all day. And if it's a shop wit just scuba tanks they gotta get those filled. And by law they have to charge u tax, their not gunna pay the tax outta their own pockets. Get a clue...

My favorite field has free air and I fill up all my tanks there, for the fields that charge for air… besides a 68/4500 gets about 2000 shots on the G7 and I just don’t need that much air.
Also keep in mind YES it is the dollar that drives the whole paintball industry.

The fields have to make their money somehow. I save money though with my own scuba tank especially when I need to refill at home. Sometimes I'll take it to the field too so I don't have to wait in line to refill or walk very far. It's just more convenient. The field I usually goes to though doesn't make me pay for air or field fee.

who pays for air......? most places i go to its like, 5$ all day air. then again get free air from sponsers when i want, but on the other hand, it costs like, 10$ to fill the scubas. my friends shop has the newest biggest friggin compressor ive ever seen, its like 5 feet tall, and he has 3 exonomy size scubas hooked up to it

I get free air from my field because I work there and play on a sponsored team. We charge for air...why because our compressor runs of gas....gas prices are kind of high right now...so we have to charge for it. If gas was free then air would be free... same with electric compressors...if electricity was free and the compressor was paid off then air would be free....
Crazy...did anyone tell you, you have nice racks :biggthump

Edit:We charge now, because we bought a new compressor not long ago that fills up to 5000.

I play on team Pentagon out of Fairview, Pa. What we do is have Air cards, you pay $30 for a years supply of air or Co2, doesnt matter how much you use. Or you can pay more to get more benefits. Such as free teching, free magazines, and 5% off of store purchases. Check it out at www.pentagonpaintball.com its under air cards on main screen.

i get free air from the shop that crazy4paintball does, i work there, im on the same team, etc... as for complaining about charges well, gas costs money, electricity costs money, workers cost money, and you dont know the hell i've gone through with our shop compressor... that thing is satan... im gonna take a sledgehammer and beat the living crap out of that thing then burn the remains to the ground... then beat bauers mailbox in with it... then bury it....

Same with our compressor. I think it blows up atleast once a week.

I wish I could pay for air at my local field. To bad it's only a woodsfield wich only fills CO2.
But regards paying for air I don't have any problems with it. Power / fuel and maintenance costs money and I think it's not reasonable to let the field/shop owner pay for it. However you will always pay for it cuase if the air is free costs are calculated through field fees or paint. Of course this doesn't apply if your sponsored or are good friend with the field/shop owner.

Hahahahahahah...
I like that idea Saber.. At Velocity in San Diego they charge $20 for an air card and that usually lasts 2 people all day and maybe a little the next time.. The field I'm sponsored by doesn't charge me for anything and I bring my own sponsors paint so I just leave my gun with the air station refs, check-in, pick up filled gun, shoot people :)
